The bullies realized what they had done and never said anything bad to anyone ever again, moreover the opposite. They helped others and tried giving everyone a good word. They changed for the better.
The bystanders wondered what would have happened if they had stepped up and helped her. If they had helped her just once, would she still be alive? From then on they stood up for the ones they saw bullied on the streets or in the community.
Her parents were grief stricken and guilty. They never realized how sad and depressed and hurt she was. They never talked to her or asked her about her day. They made her feel invisible. They decided to adopt a child and make sure this never happened to them like their only child did.
The people in the small town wished they had noticed the girl and helped. Even if they didn't know her they wanted to have known her. They passed the story down and down through the generations to show how bad your words hurt.
Catherine, well, she went to someplace other than here and watched her affect she had on the people she knew and didn't know. She was shocked to see that people did care. She wished that it hadn't took her death for them to realize that, though. Everyday she watched over her family to make sure they were okay, and made sure to watch her little sister grow up to have a better life than she could imagine. She wasn't jealous of her new little sister, but over joyed that she didn't have to go through what she did.
Even though it seems as is everything turned out perfect, no matter how much people changed for the better, you couldn't deny the sliver of hurt and pain in their eyes when you talked about her or bullying. You couldn't deny that they knew they had affected her choice.
But for once, Catherine was happy.
