Long Night

"How could you do this? I told you never to take him out without my permission! Now Pumpkin's lost because of you! We might never see him again, he might get hit by a car, he might get into a fight with another cat! All because of you!" I screamed at my little brother. As soon as the words came out of my mouth, he ran to his room crying.

I ran up to my room, crying as well. I felt bad for yelling at him, it's not really his fault, I just needed someone to take it out on. Still not a good excuse to yell at him like that, though. But what's done is done. I felt bad for him, but I felt even worse for Pumpkin. Pumpkin's my little kitten. I trained him to wear a harness and walk on a leash, and my brother decided to take him out to the backyard. The only problem was that he didn't put the leash on right.

Now Pumpkin's out somewhere, probably shivering from the wind, I may see him again, but I might not. He might die out there.

There had to be something better to do than sitting around. It was too dark out to look for him. I wanted to give my brother a bit of time to cool down before apologizing. My eyes wandered around my room. Across my computer, my bulletin board, my TV, and Pumpkin's cat tree. Then my eyes fell on my camera. That's it!

I set up my camera and sat in my chair to record a video.

"Hello, it's Hkittycat here with some very bad news. Pumpkin's gotten lost. You've seen him in vlogs, so just keep an eye out for him; if you see him, let me know." I then ended the video, worried I'd cry if I went into more detail. I didn't have many subscribers, but the ones I did have could help get the word out.

Too sad to do anything else, I turned on Spaces, and laid on my bed. Before long, I fell asleep.
