They're After Us All

A New Accident

Ivan and Victoria had a normal week after the bear attack, everyone seemed to forgotten about it, but Victoria never forgot. Her scratch she got on her arm was starting to turn her skin black and red around the deep incision, puss and blood was pouring out of it everyday, but she kept it wrapped up so much that no one could see the blood on the bandages. Another meeting was about to take place that month, its the only way Victoria can see Ivan, Ludwig, and Veneziano, and everyone else in one or two days. Victoria lived on an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean near Africa, so seeing the Europeans was hard for her. She would have to swim her way to Madagascar, then take a plane to Europe, and walk the rest of the way to the meeting hall. When she got there everyone was their normal selves, except for Ivan, he seemed more quiet than usual. Victoria walked over to him and asked. "Ivan what's wrong, is something the matter?" Victoria was a little worried about her friend, for what happened last week.

"I'm fine Victoria, I've just been under the weather lately." He turned his head and gave a harsh cough, that sounded like it was much worse than a simple cold.

"We should get you to a hospital or something Ivan, that isn't normal, especially for us countries." She was now more worried about her friend. Victoria grabbed his hand, but to her surprise it was cold, freezing almost. "Ivan we need to get you to the hospital now." She helped him up and walked out of the building, while everyone else didn't notice, she got Ivan into the passenger seat of the car, and drove off to the hospital. When they arrived she checked Ivan and he had fallen into comatose, so worried as ever she got out of the car and carried Ivan into the hospital. "We need help, please, he's in a coma!" Nurses rushed and got Ivan onto a stretcher and rolled him down the hall and around a corner. Victoria wanted to be with her friend but was held back by a doctor telling her it will be fine and Ivan will be okay, but in her mind she knew that and was still worried. After Victoria has calmed down she waited for the news to see Ivan, when a nurse came and called "Ivan Braginsky, is anyone here for Ivan Braginsky?" Victoria shot up out of her seat not saying a word, the nurse understood by her body language that she was waiting for him. "Please, come this way, he's awake." Victoria followed the nurse to the 5th floor and entered into a room. She saw Ivan laying in bed hooked up to machines around the room, but she was relived to see his eyes open and full of life again. "Hey Victoria, you stayed here?" He wondered, how no one ever visited him, even if he was in the hospital.

"Of course I waited, I brought you here, I was worried out of my mind for you." Victoria explained and you can still see a little bit of the worriedness in her eyes.

"I'm fine now Victoria, I can leave here tomorrow afternoon at the soonest, so you go back to the meeting and get all the info we did today."

"Are you kidding they didn't get anything done its the first day of the meeting, this happens every time we both know this." Victoria replied with a tired voice because it was true. Ivan knowing it was true as well didn't respond. A nurse walked in and started unhooking the machines from Ivan. "He can go back home today instead of tomorrow." Ivan was starting to get excited that he could go home, Victoria was also excited. Once the nurse was done with all the machines she left the room, and came back with a tray of food for Ivan and set it on his lap. "Thank you Miss it looks good." Ivan said with a smile. The nurse left to go check on another patient, Victoria sat in a chair next to Ivan's bedside, and started humming a song to calm her down some more. "Are you hungry, Victoria, have you eaten since you brought me here?" Ivan looked at Victoria a little worried if she hasn't eaten. "Non, I haven't eaten, I was to worried about you that food slipped my mind." Her stomach growled but she ignored it so it wouldn't look like she was hungry. Ivan scooted the tray to her, and looked at her. "Please eat, you need it more than I do."

"I can't this is for you to gain your strength, and I'm fine right now." She reassured him. "Plus we need to get back to the meeting place and figure out everything we missed."
