Mermaids and Pirates don't mix...

Hey, my name is Aquamarine  and  I REALLY hate talkign about myself...

Let's list my facts:

1:I'm a brunette

2:I have really dark chocolate colored eyes almost black

3:My skin is pale

4:I'm a mermaid

Yup, I have a fish~tail in the water, but I can walk when I'm on solid ground. I'm almost eighteen which means that I need to find a human male companion to take to the Cove.

We bring humans to the Coves to take care of, to tend to and in two short months, I will kidnap one.

My dad is the ruler of all and is very, very powerful.

So let me start the tail.

I woke up in a black place, "Arrgh! She's a mermaid, that one!" A pirate crowed.

My eyes snapped open.

A large, pirate boat was sailing very close and I  guess I had fallen asleep on a rock.

"No! No! I am a human!" I called out, showing them my feet.

"Oi! A human girl! Let's grab 'er!" One bellowed.

"NO! SISTER!!!" I screamed as a male jumped into the water, the one who wanted to 'grab' me.

The people here have a tradition.

Grabbing.

Grabbing is when a man wants a woman and he threatens her until she agrees to his proposition.

Usually it involves taking care of the male species.

"Come

Come

Swim with me

Because pirates' lives

Are dear to me"  I sang.

It's a song me and my sister, Pearl, came up  with when we want to swim away from pirates, without killing them.

"Time

Time

Is all we need

To make Pirate stew

So fear me!" My sister replied.

She was the one pirates all over feared, they named her "Dead Bella" which 'bella' in Spanish is beautiful.

Dead Beauty.

But her real name is Pearl, named after the little beauty.

Aquamarine means water, but most people call me Aq.

"Pearl!!! My legs aren't changin'" I squealed as I dipped myself into the water.

"WHAT?!" She hissed angrily, "Pirate magic!"

A small, wooden boat fell from the vessel and was swiftly coming my way.

Pearl was attacked by one and they threw a net around her.

She hissed angrily but started to drown from the Pirate Magic.

I sighed as one came closer.

I jumped into the waters, knowing I would drown.

How funny that a mermaid would die from water...

The former~loving water was deathly to me now.

" 'Ey! Th' girl is unda' water!" A man called, "Yer the closest Gale, grab 'er!"

"God don't like us taking things that aren't ours." A man preached.

A gun cocked.

"You'll get that mermaid like I said." The man growled.

Strong hands grabbed my sinking body and liftedd me up, "I'm so sorry."

I watched the new Pirates of the Carribean movie (Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and loved Sierra and the Christian man, so I based a story like them.
