Lucy's POV
As we sat in the car, Natsu suddenly asked my mom to pull over. Surprisingly she pulls over next to a dress shop. I look at Natsu, a curious look in my eyes. He just grins at me and tells my mom that we will be back in about 2 hours. Maybe more.
"Take your time. Call me when you're ready." My mom says kindly. Natsu pulls me out of the car and runs into the store.
"Look around. See if you find anything you like." Natsu says, sitting down, pulling out his cell phone.
"Are you sure?...." I ask, wondeirng if he's going to make me pay for it, which, knowing Natsu, he might.
"Yeah." He says, looking at me in disbelief. "Why is that so hard to believe?" He asks me.
"I don't know." I mutter. "Help me pick a dress." I say, pulling his hand, telling him silently to help me out. He follows me obediently. I look at the different dresses, trying to choose a color, until I spot one that looks perfect. "I'll be right out. I might have found the one I want." I say, giving him a peck on the cheeks. I walk over, grab the dress, and then I go find an attendant to help me put it on. Once I try one on, I look at the mirror and giggle. This is perfect. I just have to find a mask now.
After walking through the store to locate the masks. Once I find them, I start looking through them to find the right one. I spot a couple that look like they could go with my dress. (A/N: You'll get a description of Lucy's dress and mask when she goes to the ball with Natsu). I try them on and decide that they aren't me. I notice a girl holding two masks, and I see one of them is destined to fit my dress.
"Excuse me." I say to the girl, startling her. "May I see that mask?" I ask the blunette.
"Here. Juvia is sorry." The pretty blunette replies, piking my curiosity, handing the mask to me.
"So, Juvia is your name? I'm Lucy." I say, extending my hand delicatly, just like momma showed me. Juvia takes my hand, not knowing what to do.
"Juvia thinks you are pretty, but not in the way Juvia would want to date you." Juvia blurts out, causing me to blush.
"Thank you, Juvia. You are really pretty yourself. May I ask why you are looking at masks, before picking out your dress?" I ask her.
"Juvia has never done this before." Juvia admits, shyly.
"Well, in that case." I say, making her look full of shame. "I'll just have to help you. Me and my mom." I say, causing her face to brighten up with happiness.
"Do you really mean that you will help Juvia?" Juvia asks.
"Of course. Anything to help a friend." I say to her. Then my phone starts chiming one of my favorite songs (A/N: Lucy has a lot of favorite songs XD) I Know You by Neal Mccoy. I sigh.
"Is something wrong?" Juvia asks.
"No. It's my boyfriend, probably worried about me." I say smiling at her. I answer.
"Luce, where are you?" Natsu asks.
"Babe, I'm at the masks. I'm talking to a new friend." I say making Juvia shine and wriggle like a puppy.
"A new friend?" Natsu groans.
"Natsu..." I whine.
"Well, do you have your dress and mask?" He asks, effectively cutting me off.
"Yes I do." I say, pouting, causing Juvia to laugh at my reaction.
"Well meet me at the register. I need to pay for your outfit and mine." He says, causing my mouth to pop open in surprise.
"O..ok....okay!" I say, pulling Juvia with me. " And I'm bringing my friend, so be NICE!" I say, snapping the phone shut. Juvia giggles.
"Lucy-san...is....funny..." Juvia says between massive fits of giggles. I smile at the laughing blunette. 'She is really pretty when she laughs.' I think, trying to come up with a way to make her laugh more often. I spot Natsu at the register, talking to...."GRAY!?!" I yell, causing Juvia, Natsu and Gray to jump.
"Uh...Hi, Lucy-san." Gray says, seeming extremely nervous.
Natsu's POV
'Shit, I forgot to tell Luce that Gray works here. Well, it should be ok. It's not like I'm dating him behind her back.' I think.
Gray's POV
'Who is that pretty blunette, walking with Lucy? Is she a transfer student? I haven't seen her around Fairy Tail High before.' I think, a blush creeping up my cheeks.
Lucy's POV
'Ohhh! Gray's blushing! I have something to make fun of him for now! It can't be me, so it must be Juvia!' I giggle. I notice Juvia seems to be off in her own little world. I put the dress and the mask up on the register and start pulling out my wallet when, suddenly, Natsu hands Gray the respective amount of money. I look at Natsu curiously.
"Keep the change, man. I know how rough you have it, living on your own." Natsu says, causing some sympathy to echo in my mind.
"Natsu, Gray. This is Juvia. Juvia, this handsome man with pink hair is mine, Natsu. And that raven-haired delicacy..." I pause roaring with laughter. I just couldn't keep a straight face. "Is Gray. The most annoying and cold-hearted person I know." I finish.
"That's because you don't look at yourself like that." Gray says.
"Do you want to endure the same fate as Stingerella?" I remind him, immediately snapping him in line.
"No, Ma'am." He says, causing me and Juvia to burst out laughing.
"Good. Now keep being this good, and we won't have any problems." I say as Natsu walks back, from calling my mom, I presume.
"Luce, your moms on her way to pick us up. Is Juvia coming with us?" Natsu asks, eyeing a scared stiff Gray, obviously curious as to what happened when he walked away.
"Juvia has no where to stay." Juvia says, causing little hearts to form in Gray's eyes.
"She could..." Gray starts.
"Juvia, you're going to stay with me. Gray tends to have a huge habit of stripping, which is going to have to be punished." I say, causing a confused look to appear on Gray's face, and a crimson scarlet blush to appear on Juvia's face as she realized what I was talking about.
"Huh?" Gray asks.
"CLOTHES!!!!" Natsu, Juvia and I scream at him.
"SHIT!" He yells in response.
Natsu, Juvia and I are laughing when we leave the store.
