My dads surgery has been going for hours. Eight hours actually. I didn't know it could take so long. No doctors have updated me on him yet. And my nerves keep growing, anything could happen when he's open on the table. I lay down on the couch in the waiting room, I was tired of sitting up. I look at the clock 9:30 A.M. How much longer I wondered before I felt my eyes fluttering closed. The exhaustion and stress lulling me to sleep.

I awake and I'm in a different place, a bedroom. I scan the room, I'm laying on a king size bed, to my right is a small end table with a lamp and a book on it. The wall next to the table has a huge painting of a landscape. The wall in from of the bed has a flat screen T.V and a door that's cracked open, I assume a bathroom. On the left is a man. I do a double take. A MAN! His back is to me so I can't see his face.

Slowly I take the covers off my body, I notice I don't have clothes on... Why don't I have clothes on! I scream in my head! I quietly slide off the bed and tip toe to the door that's cracked open. It is a bathroom, there was another door to the left. I open it hoping for a closet, it was. I pull on at shirt and yoga pants.

I continue to tip toe out to the bed room again to see who was in the bed. But when I look at the bed he's gone. I look around the room worried he might pop out and get me or something. Satisfied he's not in the room I step out into the hallway. The hallway has 2 more doors and a staircase. I open one of the doors which is an office, the other is a spare room.

Once down stairs there is a living room with a huge T.V and couch accompanied by a fire place.

"Lexi?" A deep voice sung. My heart skipped a beat. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to respond or run. Running sounded like the better option.

I found the back door that was in the kitchen, after I took a few steps outside I heard the back door open behind me. "Lex, what's up babe?" The deep voice called after me. I slowed my pace and turned around.

It was Grant. My best friend since like the 4th grade.

"GRANT! Oh thank god it's you! I'm freaking out dude. I was like in the hospital like 10 minutes ago, and woke up here next to this dude which I had no idea who he was or is, whatever not the point," I rambled, "I have no idea where I am!" He stared at me. "What?"

"Your kidding right?" He was smiling. I wasn't.

"No?" I said confused.

"Um. Ok. Guy, me. House, ours?" He sounded just as confused as me, but in a different way.

I took a step back and looked at the house. It was big, not like mansion big but someone who defiantly lives comfortably. I looked at Grant waiting for him to say "GOTCHA!" And take a picture.

Ever since we became friends we always pranked each other and then took a picture of how we reacted. This has to be one of his pranks. But I don't know who he would have done it. I was just in the hospital. I thought.

"Lexi? You okay? Your not lookin to good." He stepped closer to me, which I stepped farther back and realized I was swaying and couldn't balance myself, and I fell. Grant caught me just before I hit the ground and carried me back inside.

"I'm going to be sick." I said. To which Grant ran into the next room and gave me a bucket just before I vomited on the ground.

"You okay honey?" He moved the hair out of my face.

"Don't call me that. We're not together we're just friends!"

"What?" He was obviously confused. "Lexi, what are you talking about? We're married."

"No. No, no we aren't. We can't be! We are only 19! There's no way. Nope." He held up his left hand which had a gold band on his ring finger. The he grabbed my left hand which had a gorgeous three carat diamond ring on it. My eyes got huge. "This isn't funny Grant. No more pranks." I was getting mad now.

"Lex, this isn't a prank. What's gotten into you?" He reached for my hand and I let him. "Look," he pointed to the wall on the right which had a large picture of him and I, with me in a wedding dress, kissing him.

"No, I was just in the hospital last night!"

"No you were with me... Well you know doing. Stuff." He raised his eyebrows. My cheeks got red. "Yeah you blush, maybe we could go again? You clearly liked it so much." My eyes got so big I thought they would fall out.

"What! No, no, no, no." I was stumbling over my words. But before I could get anything else out he was kissing me. He was actually a good kisser. And I forgot where I was for a second then he moved to my neck, and for another moment I didn't really care. Wait what? No! I thought. "No, wait..." I whispered, he didn't stop. He moved his hands up my shirt, how did he know all the right spots. It was captivating.

"Upstairs?" He asked. I shook my head and pulled at his shirt. It's been so long, but then again maybe it hasn't. But right now this is what I want, this is what I need. I needed to forget for a while. And he was doing to well at it.

I unbuttoned his pants as he pulled my shirt up. Yes, I need this. My mouth finds his and I'm complete.

After an hour of some amazingly, unspeakable things, in many places, and positions I get dressed.

No shouldn't have done that. I thought. But I ignore that thought because it was by far the best sex anyone could ever have. I smiled. Then it was gone. Dad. Where's my dad?

I wake up laying down on the couch in the hospital waiting room. I was only dreaming. I was suddenly overwhelmed with sadness, for my dad, for wishing the dream was real, everything. But I didn't cry.

"Miss, I mean um Lexi?" I sat up, it was Max, my dad's nurse. "Your father is out of surgery."
