"Grrinfooonnddsdggg" I moan groggily. My head was pounding, and my ears felt popped. Why did I drink so much last night?! I thought dazedly. I lifted my head up, and was harshly greeted by the sun rays coming in from my window. I quickly put my head down on the pillow to relieve my eyes.

Coffee. I want coffee.

I slowly got up and walked to my kitchen, and press the start button on the coffee machine, and immediately, the lovely scented crema started pouring into my red mug. Without warning, a knock on the wooden door startled me. As I opened the door, a rustic homey scent of croissants greeted me. As Maya was holding the god-like croissants, raised her eyebrow, "Figured you would be craving something buttery and hot for breakfast."

"God, you are a lifesaver!" I muttered, munching away into the crumbly warm croissant. Maya walked in, making herself at home as she poured herself a cup of a now lukewarm coffee, "I haven't even got a chance to talk to you last night".

"Yeah, I just realised that. Sorry about that. Last night was crazy!" I exclaimed, sitting down on my black shiny vinyl chair.

"It was crazy! I absolutely cannot wait till the trip; it is going to be amazing. I'm going to get so much inspiration from it!" Her eyes shined.

Mayas is an novelist, and take her experiences and turn them into amazing exaggerated novels. She just recently released a novel called "The True Confessions of a Single Gal" and it's very quickly going up the Hot Books List radar.

"Still stuck on your next book, hey?" I asked her.

"Oh yes! It's driving me mad. My agent won't stop pestering me about it! Speaking of, how's "boss-zilla?"" She quoted marked.

"Kira? Same old, same old tramp. Yesterday afternoon, she made me do her workload, and that wasn't the first time." I mumbled after swallowing aspirin with my coffee.

"Well, I say quit! You got your contacts and why not start your own business!" She slammed her little fist on the table.

"I wish it was that easy! Alrighty, cheers for the treats. You take after my own heart!" I winked at her.

"Oh..also speaking of hearts.. How are you and... well, him?" She whispered, her eyes softening.

"Don't wanna talk about it Maya. I thought I made that clear last night." I frowned at her. "Thanks for asking anyway."

"Okay, but you missy will need to start talking about it at some point! You can't keep it bottled up forever, you know?" She grabbed her handbag.

"I know, but I can try." I smiled sadly. "See ya love" I waved as Maya walked out of my apartment.

I looked at the time, and it was already 8 o'clock in the morning, which meant facing The Tramp again in 40mins today. I sighed. Yay. I wonder what workload will be in store today. Please note that was also sarcasm.

As the train stopped, I leapt out of the sliding doors, and ran up the concrete grey steps in my black stilettos heel, which proved to be a challenge, cause let's face it, stilettos aren't exactly made for running I'll admit. Shit, shit, I'm so late. Kira is going to shit balls!  I went to pull my iPhone out of bag to call a co-worker of mine to stall time for me, when all of a sudden I started flying through the air with my things. Am I flying? I harshly landed on the dirty rough floor with a huge thump.
