Chapter 11-"Personal time"

I run into my flat and slam the door behind me, walk over to my couch and slump down on it.

What am I going to do? He wants me dead, I'm gonna have no help, and I can't take that again.

I think as I rub my had over the fresh scars.

I need to prepare myself, and one thing I definitely will need is sleep.

I walk over to my bedroom and slide into bed, not bothering to change out of my work uniform. Shortly after Ben joins me on the bed and curly up by my feet.

He's so cute.

I think to myself as we fall asleep together.

A few hours later I wake up again, Ben still asleep at the end of the bed. I look over at the clock that reads '09:23'. I quietly climb out of bed and walk to the kitchen, and make myself a cup of coffee. Shortly after I take my coffee and sit on my couch, turn on the tv and put on some program.

"And that concludes our report on dragons, next up, how to stop the super natural" the guy on tv says.

This catches my attention.

I spend the next hour watching the program about ghost hunting, and how to protect yourself from spirits. Most of it was nonsense, however there was some useful information,and one part that could definitely help me.

"Ghosts and spirits are always out for revenge, if you can avenge them, they will leave you alone and they will be able to rest in peace."

By the time I finished watching the program Ben had come and sat next to me on the couch. I got up and went to the kitchen, and he followed me in. I got him some dog food and got myself another coffee. Looking at the clock it now said 12:01.

Lunch time.

I walk out of the flat, leaving Ben inside, go down the street and into my favorite cafe. I sit at my regular table and the waiter comes over. "The usual" I say to him and he nods and walks off.

Five minutes later he comes back with a ham and cheese toasty. He puts the plate in front of me and I give him a smile. He smiles back and walks off, leaving me and my toasty to have some 'personal time'.
