Remedy looked at the sky; the sun was setting and the forest was growing dark. Remedy pulled out her flashlight and turned it on. The crickets were singing to the night, bats danced in the night sky. The moon was full and bright, leading the was.

Remedy was walking in the woods as dusk was falling. She imagined the deer as Elkin (Deer mixed with dragons). Falling leaves as fairies. Frogs as trolls.

As the moon rose higher than the trees, Remedy was lost in the forest. She walked farther into the forest only having a flashlight, a granola bar, and a water bottle.

The moon cast a faint light on a creature lying in the shadows, sleeping.

Not knowing what it was, she slowly approached it; leaves crunching under her feet. When she sot close enough to see what it was, a twig snapped under her feet. The creature stirred and woke up to see Remedy standing in fear. The creature looked like a dragon with no wings, the scales were a brownish green, the teeth as sharp as knives. It started towards Remedy, putting a foot down in front or her. Remedy ran the other way, too terrified to look back at the creature.

As she was running, Remedy could hear the pounding and crunching getting closer. The creature was chasing her! She was running as fast as she could go. She dropped the flash light and counted on the moon to light her way. Unable to see where she was going, she could no longer hear the creature behind her. She stopped and looked behind her. The only thing she could hear was her heavy breathing and her rapid heartbeat.

The moon shone on the creature; limping. She stopped, she looked around and ran towards the limping creature. It was a dog! Not a dragon. Not a creature. It was just a dog who was lost! The dog came up to Remedy and licked her face. The dog had a cut on its leg from a tree branch in jumped over. She wrapped her jacket on the dogs leg to stop the bleeding.

Dawn was breaking and Remedy could actually see where she was going. She followed a trial to leave the forest.  But she would miss the forest, she was moving to the city in a week.
She walked down the street to the local animal shelter. The automatic sliding doors opened, and Remedy felt the cool air blow over her body.  She walked in and walked to the counter. The dog followed her; alert and shy.  He sat next to Remedy, looking up at her with soft puppy eyes  Remedy didn't want to forget the forest, she wanted to remember it forever. She thought for a second, remembering what happened.
Remedy talked to the man at the counter, she wanted to adopt the dog. The man asked her what she wanted to name her dog. She thought for a moment. His name was going to be Creature

The man gave Creature all of the shots he needed, took blood tests, and gave him some medication. Blood tests said that Creature was a short furred husky and he was about 1 1/2 years old. The man looked at Creatures leg for the cut.
