"I'm going to go get some snacks." Allison said as she tried to get a break from the homework.

Charlie nodded her head, not wanting to look away from her work. Once Allison was downstairs, she spoke up, "You know that the Argent family knows that you're a werewolf. If they even find out that you're here, you'll end up with a bullet filled with wolfsbane through your head." Out from the shadows next to the window, Derek Hale finally steps out, his cold, dark expression painted vividly on his face.

"You know the same thing can happen to you, didn't you always try to avoid the supernatural? Right now you seem like you're walking blindfolded straight into the crossfire." Derek stated, his expression still not changing.

"I'm trying to blindly walk around the crossfire." Charlie corrected. "I think you know that you should be running in the opposite direction." Charlie clarified. "You killed an innocent. They can come after you."

"So have you." Those words caught her off guard. She never wanted to think about what she did, a long time ago. That was the whole reason why she doesn't like getting involved.

"Do we have to lock Charlie up again?" An eight-year old little girl asked her twelve-year old brother, glancing back at her five-year old sister.

"Don't you remember what she did the last time on a full moon? She nearly tore you to pieces! You know she has to be chained up." Cole, eldest brother said while looking at the middle child, Lauren.

"You know, I think I'm fine this time." Charlie said with a smug smirk on her face, looking up at Cole.

"You said that the last full moon, and had the same exact smirk on your face. We're locking you up." Cole answered. Charlie let out a angry sigh before tugging on the handcuffs. That sigh is not a sigh that you would hear everyday. Another puppy-dog face passed over her before looking at Lauren, the weaker one.

"Please Lauren." Charlie did her best to sound upset, "You have to let me go. All of this, the moon, these handcuffs-" Charlie pushed her  handcuffs in front of her. "I swear to you nothing will happen. Cross my heart."

"Cole maybe she is right." Lauren pleaded, not wanting to see her adopted sister in pain anymore. "Maybe she does have control. We gotta let her out. She is hurting!" Lauren begged, her eyes wandering to the keys Cole carried.

"Lauren, you promised you were going to be strong if you were going to come with us." Cole reminded, bending down to her level. "If she is in control, we can chain her up in the abandoned house again and see how she reacts. Right now, the answer is still no." Another loud and strange groan escaped from Charlie's lips as she stopped walking, making Cole drag her the rest of the way.

After trudging for a few more minutes, the trio finally reached a abandoned house that resembled a haunted mansion. "Finally!" Cole exclaimed. "Dragging our pet coyote takes a lot of work." Cole meant to talk to Lauren, but she was paying no attention. The only thing she was paying attention to was a set of eyes that were glowing like the sun.

"Cole." Lauren quietly said, tugging on his shirt, trying to get his attention. Once he finally turned around, his eyes bulged once he saw the eyes as yellow as a highlighter.

"Lauren, you get the rope from my bag and I am going to wrap it around her, okay?" Cole instructed Lauren, who could only nod her head. "Easy Charlie, be a good girl." He said, acting as if she was a dog as he gently set her up against the nearest tree. Lauren handed Cole the rope, not knowing what would happen next. Cole started tying the rope in a knot when Charlie let out a threatening growl, keeping her eyes locked on his. Right when Cole finished the last knot, Charlie jumped, trying to sink her nails into his soft skin.
