BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
I slam my hand down on my alarm clock to stop its annoying beeping. I toss the covers off of me and crawl out if bed to the floor where I lay for another five minutes, reluctant to get up and particapate in every day life. I don't like to go to school because I'm not myself there. I'm forced to be the quiet nerd everyone thinks I am.
I crawl over to my bathroom to take a quick shower. When I'm done I wrap the towle around my body and walk across my room to my walk in closet. I grab a pair of worn out jeans, a tanktop and a baggy shirt and throw it on over my under clothes. I walk over to my bed and fling my pillows everywhere searching for my phone. I finally find it and unplug the charger while throwing my converse on my feet. Slipping my phone into my back pocket and grabbing my bag I run out the door.
"Morning honey." my mom said as I run into the kitchen.
She is standing at the sink doing dishes with a lime green apron tied around her waist.
"morning momma." I said running up and kissing her on the cheek. "it's off to school for this little booty" I said shaking my butt at her. She smiled telling me to be careful as I walk out the door. I love my mom more than anything in the world. After my dad left when I was six she has been a mess. She tries to hide it from me but I have noticed the times she has stayed up and cried herself to sleep. My personal oppinion is that she needs to get a boyfriend. I mean how much longer does she think she is going to have the body of a 25 year old. I don't get how my mom does it. She is 36 and literally has the body of a 25 year old.
I'm yanked out if my thoughts by a ball colliding with my face. I hit the ground before I could even understand what was happening. I groan and roll onto my back squinting into the sun. After a minute or two I sit up and look around for the ball that hit me. I see it a few feet away and reach over for the rubber ball. When I have it I look around to see who threw it and find a group of laughing boys. One thing about me is that when it comes to throwing things u have a killer arm.
I stand up dusting myself off before bringing back my arm and hurtling it at them. It traveled so fast they didn't even see it coming until it was too late and it collided with the main boys gut.
"I think you dropped that!" I yelled as he fell to the ground clutching his stomache and looking at me with surprise writen all over his face. When I look at the rest of them. (that consisted of his three best freinds) they all look the same with their mouths hanging slightly ajar. That's when I realised that two days ago I would have never done that. I would have just gotten up and walked away.
"What are all you guys staring at? Have you never seen a girl throw a ball before?" I yelled. When they still just stood there I walked over to them. "You guys better close your mouths. Your going to catch a fly." when they STILL didn't do any thing I walked up to the boy on his knees clutching his stomach and I physically closed his mouth for him. "There you go big boy." I slapped the side if his face lightly a couple of times talking like I was talking to a little kid.
I then turned on my heal and walked into the school. Word must have got around because every person looked at me with curieosity all day.
When school was finally over I walked out of the building and started walking home. I was stooped in the middle of the parking lot by the boy I hit with the ball that morning.
"Hey can I talk to you?", He asked stepping in front of me.
" Umm... I guess." , I said with a puzzled look.
" Okay good. Well first off, since when do you throw the ball back? I have been hitting you with that ball since school started and you didn't do anything. Second is how can you throw like that?"
