"you; with that cute little giggle
standing at my door
and with freckles that you don't really like
but I do adore"

She didn't know what it was about evening walks in the park that made her feel so happy. Sure there was the nature, something that she never could quite hate. But there was something so much more to it.
Maybe it was the liveliness all around; people out on brisk walks after a busy day at the office, children running around without a worry in the world, an undertone of orange in the sky, signalling the soon to happen sunset and all of that. But there was one thing that stood out and above of all of these; flowers.
That beautiful, soft scent lingering in the air, touching her nose, and making everything in the world just right. She loved how their bloom could lift her spirits up whenever she had a bad day. It felt..refreshing.
"Well you look awfully happy today," Laverne, her best friend pointed out as they took a walk in the park while coming back from uni. Laverne was someone who had been by her side since the day daisy first came to uni. Everything had been different for her after school; different town, different house, different people.
She had troubles adjusting to it, but Laverne made everything better for her. With her quirky personality and interest in Doctor Who, Daisy bonded with her quicker than she had bonded with anyone in her entire life.
"Well yeah, what can I say? I have a thing for parks," daisy said, her eyes looking all over the place while she played with the strap of her bag and walked alongside Laverne. This was a part of both of their routines; leaving uni and then walking together to their appartments, which weren't really that far away from the uni, and were just two blocks from each other.
But walking through the park wasn't just the only part of the routine she liked. There was more to it.
Every Tuesday, she would go to this little flower shop right below her apartment complex, and buy a bunch of daisies, just because she liked their scent around the house. It was a day she looked forward to every week, and not only because of the flowers, but also because of that cute guy who stood behind the counter and handed 'em to her.
Laverne shook her head when she entered "Flower Power" with her best friend. It was the most stupid name one could ever give to a flower shop, but there it was.
"Do you really have to do this every week?" Laverne asked. Daisy simply nodded her head, smiling while she chose the best bunch of daisies. Honestly, it was so cliche, with her name and flowers she liked. But as long as she woke up with a smile on her face and a scent in her room, she was content.
"Why?"
"Because I love flowers."
Daisy grinned as she handed over the bunch at the counter for billing and once again, just like every other week, her heart stopped for a moment at the sight of that dimpled smile and long, curly hair.
His name was Harry, and he was beautiful.
"Have a lovely day," he smiled back at Daisy, handing her the flowers and taking the money, her fingers accidentally brushing his hand and she swore she felt electricity pulse on the spot for the rest of the day.
That night, she went to bed with a smile on her face, because her vase had new flowers and her home smelt nice again.
But she wished that once, maybe just once, she didn't have to buy those flowers herself.
