Chapter 3

Liams POV

I felt excrutiating pain covering my body. I opened my eyes to see Louis holding me down. What was he doing? It was more painful then anything that Alex ever did to me. It was cold. . .So cold.

"St-stop!" I begged. Louis frowned. He was holding my shirt up and pressing an ice pack to the large bruise on my stomach. I squirmed and tried to get away. It hurt so bad.

"Please." I cried. It felt like ten thousand needles being jammed into my stomach. Louis moved the ice pack to my ribs. I cringed in pain and squeezed my eyes shut.

"Its hurts!" I sobbed. "Please stop!" Louis shook his head and moved the ice pack to my side. I tried pushing him away. I almost succeeded too. But Louis was alot stronger. He climbed onto me and pinned me to the couch with one hand. The other was sliding the ice pack over my bruises. Tears welled up in my eyes.

"Please don't cry." Louis said. "I'm only doing this to help you. Your bruises will heal alot faster if you apply ice to them." He explained. I shook my head and tried to pull away from the frozen needles stabbing my stomach. Louis had a firm grip on me though.

I shook my head again and tears were falling down my cheeks.

"I'm almost done, don't cry. Please." Louis begged. I cringed again as he placed the ice pack over a bruise on my torso. Then he was done.

"There. All done. Your bruises are yellowing. So that means they're healing." Louis explained climbing off me. I pulled myself into a tight ball at the end of the couch. I was shaking and waiting for his to hurt me more. I felt the couch dip and I buried my face in my arms, waiting.

"I'm sorry I hurt you." Louis said. "I just wanted you to be in less pain." I felt him put a hand on my shoulder and I flinched. Louis sighed.

"Please don't be afraid of me." He begged. "I'm not going to hurt you." I had enough courage to look at him. He smiled back at me.

"You still havent told me your name." I buried my face into my arms again and shook my head. Louis sighed again. It was quiet for a while.

"I'll show you to your room." Louis said getting off the couch.

"M-my room?"I asked.

"Yah, I can't let you sleep on the couch." Louis walked down the hall and gestured to the second room. I slowly got up and followed him. I looked into the room. It was pretty normal. Nothing too fancy. I stepped in and flinched as Louis walked in next to me. I expected him to slam the door shut and throw me on the bed or start beating me.

He didn't.

"Sorry." Louis said. "It isn't much. But its better then lying on someones doorstep right?" He asked with a smile. I gave him a weak smile in return.

"Well I have to go to work." He said. "Help yourself to anything in the kitchen. If you need anything call me on my cell. The numbers on my house phone under 'cell'." He started to leave the room but then he turned back.

"I, uh, know we dont know each other very well and I'm sure you dont trust me but, um, can you please not leave?" He asked,

"Huh?" I replied.

"Can I trust you to stay here? I really don't want to come home and see that you've left. I want you to stay here. So will you?" Louis looked at me. I nodded. More out of fear then anything.

"Ok, well, Ill be back later." I nodded again. Then Louis left. Memories gripped my brain.
