Hey guys! Thx for the support on the last chapter. I know, gory right?
I really appreciate the 187 READS I have so far.
WWWOOOOHHHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, calm down gurl.
In this chapter, there are a few new characters. Can't wait to start writing it! I know, I know, once again, I forget to plan and just go right into it.
Quick question, who would you cast as Alex? I'm thinking Nina Dobrev or anyone else badass.
BTW, the song on the side is Alive by Sia. She absolutely crushed it!
Now, drumroll please, CHAPTER FIVE OF NIGHT IS COMING.
;)
*********
The river of dreams dragged me along endlessly. I wanted to break from my slumber but every time I tried, the dreams continued to drown me. It was a strange feeling. At times I knew I was dreaming but before I know it, I'm dragged back in. What terrified me the most was the fact that I wasn't really 'dreaming'...it was more like reliving my memories. Most of them had faded over time and there were ones I barely even recall at all. But one memory really stood out.
"Daddy?" a six-year-old me whispered.
"Yes Alex."
Dad tucked me into bed as I squirmed under the warm covers. My hands cradled his swollen cheek with a bruise the size of a tennis ball. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Every now and then, dad comes home with some sort of injury. Mum and I would question him but he dismisses it casually and blames it on his clumsiness.
"Taylor kept calling me a chicken at lunch today," I told dad.
He chuckled, "And what did you say to Taylor?"
"That he was a bigger wuss than a chicken."
