He started working with state regulators on interpreting state and federal law to better enforce the law and protect consumers and other interested parties in Florida. Rivers is a part of the team that creates accountability in one of the state's most powerful industries. The OFR is committed to enforcing the state and federal regulations that ensure that all financial institutions in Florida provide consumers and businesses with the services they need in a legal and helpful fashion. With this oversight, individuals and businesses rely on safe and sound financial services from some of the most powerful financial institutions in the state.

Rivers worked there for five years before moving on to the OFR.
Linje Rivers contributes to his community in addition to working for the state government. Rivers is also the treasurer of the Legal Aid Foundation, a state-sponsored nonprofit organization that helps people find the legal representation they need at little or no cost. This organization has been helping people in the Tallahassee area for 45 years, and Rivers is proud to be a part of one of the most effective legal service for the poor organizations in the country.
