" Crystal, you need to sit down!" my mother demands. I was trying to get my phone charger out of my suitcase which was up above us.

" My phones going to die!" I complain. I'm standing up on my toes trying to get to my suitcase. I wouldn't be able to stand this train ride without music.

" Honey, I have a charger out." My mom responds. I look down to see her holding a charger. My cheeks start to get hot. I look around to see people staring at me.

" Sorry." I mumble. I look down to see Aleks taking up the whole two seats.

" Can you move Aleks?" I ask impatiently. He moans and sits up next to the side of the train.

" Hey, I need to sit there. I need to charge my phone. " I quickly say before he gets too comfortable. He moves over and lets another moan out. He gets annoyed when he gets wakes up. He's a lot like me. I silently laugh at this thought.

I sit down next to him and plug in everything and start to listen music again.

I wish I had looked at mother, her bright hazel eyes. The one who gave me so much advice. I wish I had looked one more time before the other train had hit us. I wish I would of heard Aleks complain again. His short brown hair, and his green eyes like mine.

That was the last time I will ever see mom and Aleks together. Now, I'm the only one to see both of them. They won't ever see each other again.

|Present|

" Crystal!" I hear someone yell my name. I turn around to see Lily, my best friend, running after me down the halls. She catches up to me and she is trying to catch her breath.

" Goodness, girl! You walk fast! " She jokes. " Can you believe we just started Senior year??"

" No running in the halls now, Miss. Lily. " Mr. Mullis, the student councilor said.

" Coming to my room after school?" He asks looking at me. I shake my head and walk to class. He doesn't like calling it an office. He says it makes it seem less friendly.

I walk into Study Hall and sit down. Lily sits down next to me. It's our Senior year so we usually don't have anything to do.

" What do you have next?" Lily asked.

" I go to the library. What do you have?" I answer.

" I have a free period. " She sighs.

" So you have study hall and then a free period?" I chuckle.

" Well you go to the library! That's pretty much a free period." She chuckles. I start to laugh, before we get shushed for being too loud.  I met Lily as a 4th grader. We hated each others guts. That is, until we were partnered up. I won't tell you the full back story, because that's just boring. Let's just say we clicked.

" Are we still going to your house after school?" She asks. I instantly feel guilty.

" Still need to ask my mom..." I mumble before I get interrupted.

" Students, we have a new student. This is ..." The teacher asks for his name and he answers. " His name is Raz." He finished off.

Raz? That's a weird name. I look up at him and see he is already looking at me. Once I look up at him, he doesn't look away. Something about him makes me have chills. His dark brown hair and bright sky blue eyes.
