Chapter Two
The plane was jerked and we were no longer in the air. I looked out of the windows and all I saw was fire. Wait, FIRE? The plane lurched and my seatbelt broke. I was knocked on the ground, but Harry had managed to stay upright and he helped me up. I turned around and saw the back of the plane erupt in flames. The plane was ripped in half and the back half twisted on its side and was completely engulfed in flames. I heard screams and cries and I knew we needed to get out of here, fast.
"C'MON THERE'S AN EXIT OVER HERE!" I heard someone three rows up yell.
"GRAHAM! CASON! WHERE ARE YOU?" I screamed, desperate to find my little brothers who were no longer behind me.
"OVER HERE!" I heard a yell and I saw two heads pop up in the middle of the aisle.
"LIAM, LOUIS, ZAYN, HARRY! DON'T LET THOSE KIDS OUT OF YOUR SIGHT. TAKE THEM AND FOLLOW US.” Niall screamed.
He turned to face me. I know he was just as scared as the rest of us, but he was trying to look calm, "This thing is going to blow any second. We need to get out. Don't lose me!"
He started jumping over the seats until he reached a piece of the plane that had been torn off in the crash. The rest of us followed and I turned around to see the seats behind me catch on fire and start to spread towards us. At that point I didn’t think we would make it out alive and I realized that I would most likely die. I started sobbing.
“Shhh. It’ll be okay; we’ll make it out of here,” said Niall, who was next to me. We were the last people on the plane. Everyone else had already jumped though the hole. He grabbed my hand and we jumped. It was about a 5-foot drop and we landed on hard dirt. All I could see was fire.
Up ahead I heard an unfamiliar voice scream, “RUN!”
There were about twenty people around me and we all took off. I was running next to Niall for a few seconds before the rest of the plane exploded. I flew into the air and landed on a big, jagged rock. Everything started to go fuzzy. I couldn't see straight. Somebody pulled me to my feet, but I couldn't stand up on my own.
I heard a voice next to me saying, "It’ll be okay. You'll be okay." I think it was Niall, but I wasn’t sure. Whoever it was threw me over their shoulder and took off running, following the rest of the group. The last thing I remember was someone saying, “We need to get to a hospital,” before everything went black.
******
“Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep,” was all I could hear. For a moment I didn’t remember anything, but then I all came rushing back. The plane crashed. With a lot of effort I pried my eyes open. Looking around the hospital room I saw Cason and Niall sitting in the plastic chairs. Cason had clearly been crying. His face was red and his cheeks were puffy. Niall looked like he hadn’t slept in days. His eyes were bloodshot and had dark circles underneath them.
“What’s going on?” my voice came out rough and scratchy.
“Oh my god, Elliott you’re okay,” Cason rushed over and wrapped his arms around me.
