General James Ironwood sat at his desk, he'd just received news that the two recently captured youths were in the interrogation rooms and were rather unhappy about it.
He watched the cameras with mild amusement as the girls tried to get their hands out of the chains attached to the table.
The redhead pulled roughly at her chains and accidentally struck her head on the desk, she letting out a half-growl, half-groan of frustration.
The pink haired wolf Faunus tried to pick the lock with a claw but was surprised by an electric shock and let out a yelp.
Ironwood chuckled, he never got tired of that reaction from the ones who thought they were smart and could pick the cuffs.
He watched the two for another moment, he was debating who to talk to first.
So he flipped a coin.
Ruby sat at her table, she had her head lowered so she could rub it "Damn that hurt." She groaned as she sat up and began drumming her hands off on the table, not doing any rhythm in particular, as she waited.
After a minute or two a well-dressed man came in. Ruby recognised him and leaned forward with a smirk. "Oh, powerful general, what can I do for you?" She inquired mockingly, she was still furious about her friends' deaths but decided to humour the man for now.
General Ironwood took a seat across from Ruby. "You can answer my questions young lady." He said calmly.
Ruby leaned back. "Ask away." She said, voice full of boredom and a hint of anger.
Ironwood pulled out the chart he always used for interrogations and a pen. "Name?"
No answer.
He cleared his throat. "Name?" He asked again, a bit more impatiently.
Ruby rolled her eyes and sighed. "Call me Red." She said.
"Your codename is you real name?" He asked.
Ruby perked up. "Codename?" She asked.
"Yes your codename, what our officers call criminals or Grimm." Ironwood explained.
"So my codename is Red?"
"The Red Blur to be exact." Ironwood clarified.
Ruby chuckled. "Huh? Kinda fitting." She mused.
"So...your real name?" Ironwood was growing increasingly impatient.
[The dialogue below does not require you to add "he/she said", since you've establish in the line above who is talking first, leaving readers to know that Ruby will speak next, then Ironwood, then Ruby, and repeat. Looks cleaner, and is easier to read the flow of dialogue without having the extra text.]
"Ruby." was all she said
"Last name?" Ironwood asked
"What about it?" Ruby asked
"What's yours?"
"Do I not get to keep one secret?"
Ironwood looked down at the clipboard, his pen moved to the notes section. "Very touchy about last name." He muttered to himself.
"Next question Iron man." Ruby said in annoyance
"Age?"
"Fifteen." Ruby answered
"So you started stealing at.....eleven?" Ironwood was slightly surprised.
"Yep." was the answer
