I learned when I was very new to being immortal that everyone dies I try to get used to that but you can't. I've stopped interacting with normal people and only talking to immortals but then they retire. After fifty years you can retire and have a normal life. I don't want to. I am the oldest immortal I've done this for one hundred and fifty years so I can retire whenever I want but I'm not going to I like saving people we see the numbers that we don't have and they don't see those numbers the year, month, week, day, hour minute and second constantly changing to get closer to their death saving them when there is only a second left then walking away without a word we aren't allowed to save people dying a natural death we can only save people from falling objects car crashes etc. it's a pretty good job if you succeed in saving people it's hard though.
