Chapter 1.

Lily Reed POV

"Matthew Espinosa!!! You suck. When you put me down I'm gonna hit you. When I say hit you I mean hard!" I yell as he spins me round upside down in a skirt. (the outfit in the picture above)

"I'm in a skirt!" I added laughing. Don't worry; we have been best friends since practically 1 and our mum's were best friends in primary school and high school. They were even roommates in college.

I mean it's not like Matt hasn't seen my undies before.

When we were 5, we were playing in the back yard and he apparently slipped and pulled down the bottom half on my bikinis. It was embarrassing but he said sorry and I pulled my bottoms back up and continued to play under the hose with him. So I mean it's not like he hasn't seen my undies before.

"I know. That's why I put you upside down" he laughs before I smack his bum. He falls onto the lounge with me landing in his lap. We laugh.

"I told you I was gonna hit you" I say moving off his lap.

"Well it didn't hurt" he replies giving me a kiss on my forehead. And before any of you guys think Matt and I are dating, were not. We are what you call 'Best friends'. We start laughing again. I love Matt and this is why we are best friends; we have the same taste in food, humour and he will always stand up for me.

I still remember the first day of kindergarten with Matt. I was being laughed at and matt told them to stop.

I had just come out of the toilets and the corner of my dress was tucked into my undies. Yes it was embarrassing. I guess I have a lot of incidents with undies.  Anyway Matt saw my dress and whispered it to me. He stood in front of me so they didn't see me fix it up. Matt told them to stop laughing or he would tell the teacher. I mean thinking back to it now I was a pretty dumb kid but luckily I had Matt by my side to guide me through primary school and now. Tomorrow is our birthday, and yes we do have the same birthday. We are best friends with the same birthday and we can actually go out tomorrow with bunch of friends. We are normally super busy with school. Being captains for our soccer teams and the year is actually really tough. Even though we are very good at sport, I don't understand how we both got captains for the soccer team.

Matt is heaps good at soccer and to be honest my best friend Jade is heaps better than me. She actually does soccer outside of school. I have known jade since 5. She was one of the girls that laughed at me on the first day of kindergarten. She came and apologised at lunch and we then became best friends along with Matt and Aaron Carpenter. Anyway getting back to our birthday tomorrow I think I have a very good idea of what to get Matt. Tomorrow is a packed day.

"Hey wanna go get some lunch?" Matt asks me breaking the silence.

"Uhh sure" I reply knowing he already knows what I wanna get.

"Chipotle? Huh?" Matt says laughing. I nod and he helps me up.            

"You know me to well" I say getting into the car.

"Well that car ride was fun!" Matt says turning down the speakers and disconnecting his phone off the Bluetooth speaker.

"Indeed it was" I reply laughing having a quick think of what just happened. Okay. So we just sung super loud and cars stared at us. Right. Yes. Well that was fun.

I hop out of the car fixing my hair as it was super windy. I have really long hair and it tends to get in my face way a lot when the wind blows. I take off my sunnies and put them on my head. We walk into chipotle and Matt orders for us as he knows my usual. I walk next door in Star Bucks on my phone and bump into someone.

"S-s-sorry "she says. The voice is very familiar. Wait. That's right it's Bailey Mitchells. One of my best friends.

"Um sorry! That was... hey Bailey." I say looking up.

"Hey  Lily" she replies giving me a hug. Of course I hug her back.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have been on my phone." I indicate putting my phone away.

"No don't be! Where are you planning to go after this?"

"Well Matt is getting me Chipotle and probably back to his house" I answer.

"Cool. Oh Yeah, I am able to come tomorrow. I will pull a sicky" she says laughing.

"Ahaha okay babe! See ya tomorrow" I say giving her a hug.

"Bye Lily! Tell Matt I said Hi" she says walking to her car.
