Chapter 5. Lunch Date with Bae

Chapter 5.

Monday

Lily's POV.

I wake up to a slobbery wet lick on the left side of my face. I open my eyes ever so slightly just enough to let the sun shine through and immediately blinding me. I cautiously look around the room. I tilt my head onto my pillow just enough so that I can see over the pug. Yep. Definitely my room. The Zebra printed rug on the floor, the stairs on the right and the fire place right in front of my bed. I kiss the little black Pug on the cheek and sit in my bed and recall the wonderful day I had yesterday. I shut my eyes slowly drifting into memory mode and just think. WOW! It was so fun.

The morning started off a little rough with my brother yelling at me, but he apologised which was fine. I got up and washed my face and cleaned my teeth. Oh yeah then I got comfy and Matt texted me and that's when I got this lil goof ball. Umm going to the beach hut café and sharing a tub of Ben and jerry's ice cream with Matt was the highlight of the day, not just because I love Ben and Jerry's ice cream, but because he was my best friend and I think I like him a little more. Going Penny boarding and finding a really pretty mountain cliff and finally ending the afternoon watching the sun set.

I take a deep breath and open my eyes letting the memory fade.

Today is going to be great. I can sense it. I hop out of bed and plug in my phone to my speakers. The first song that plays is 'Do it again' by Pia Mia ft. Chris Brown.

Coco follows me into the bathroom. I look in the mirror and wash my face. My bathroom is actually quite small compared to Emma's, my x-best friend. I mean we are still close, just not as close as we were. I still like her I just hate it when people get jealous.

Anyway I don't want to break the good vibes for today, so I pick up Coco and give her a hug. She is legit so cuteee.

I walk into the shower after putting the pug in its bed in the corner of my room near my desk. I strip till Im naked and walk into the nice hot water letting it hit my back like a massage.

I frolic out of the bathroom and wrap a towel around my body. I walk to my cupboards and pull out a pair of grey Nike tracksuits, a white Nike crop and my orange Nike shoes. I tie my hair in a high pony and pull my phone of my speaker. I grab my headphones and put a leash on Coco. I walk out the door letting the sun hit me. I lock the door and start to run, letting the pug run ahead of me on the lead.

I walk inside letting the sweat droop from my face. Wow. I just ran for an hour around my neighbourhood. Not the longest I've ran but not the shortest so I'm happy. I walk upstairs and washed my face. I cooled down and lay on my bed. I decide to walk back downstairs and fill my Voss bottle. I grip hold of the fridge door and as the door widens my feet start to get cold. I let the cold windy breeze strike the top of my feet before rubbing my left foot on top of my right.

I quickly grab a lemon and 3 strawberries. I cut some thin lemon slices, chop the tops of the strawberries and then dice them. I chuck them into the bottle placing the strawberries up the top and closing the lid. I stumbled up 3 steps and then the door rang.

What the fuck!? It's like 7:35am. Who could it be? I wasn't bothered to walk back down those steps, so I just jumped. Before making the leap of my life. Okay! Note the sarcasm. I was just joking. Anyway. I wasn't bothered to jump with my bottle so before making the leap of my life I position my bottle on the 3rd step so when I return it will be easy to pick up.

I stroll to the front door only to my surprise to find Matthew Lee Espinosa.

"Oh hey" I say shocked moving out of the way, allowing matt in.

"Hey! Morning!" he says smiling and closing the door behind him.

We look at each other and sprint. We race each other up the stairs down to my room with matt snatching my bottle of the third step and running off. I chase after him finally arriving in my room and seeing Matt getting comfy on my bed. He throws my bottle luckily I can catch because it would have shattered to pieces.

"How are you already dressed and changed?" I ask him jumping onto my bed joining him.

"Cause I wanna take you somewhere out for lunch!" he replies blushing. I laugh because matt is just so sweet.

I stare at him for as long as I can remember eventually causing a slow smile to creep onto his face.

"Are you going to get ready? And quite staring at me?" he says blushing.

"oh yeah! Sure" I reply embarrassed. "Don't you think it's a little too early for lunch? It's like 8am?"

"yeah but I wanna take you somewhere!" he says smiling and pushing me towards my closet. I stop not allowing him to push me. He tickles my hips making me twist and turn. We both start laughing. I walk away sensing matt is staring at my butt. I turn. "stoppp!" I blush. He laughs.

"so where are you taking me Espinosa?" I question.

"somewhere" he responds winking.
I laugh! His literally so cute!!!! matt grabs my phone attaching it to the my speakers and press shuffle. The song that plays first is 'sorry' by JB. I literally love this song😍 Whe I Change I realise matt is jamming out to my playlist.
I walk into my wardrobe. I grab a white dress with triangles cut around my waist. It has a gold type of brim along the neck of the dress with a swirly Lace throughout it making it look like a nice pattern. (Picture above) I turn my head noticing matt is still singing yet on his phone. Wow. I didn't know men could multitask. I giggle. Focus. Get ready. Just as I contemplate on either wearing gold or silver the song changes to 'focus'! Ahaha I was just telling myself to focus! I guess Ariana knows when the time is right. I decide on wearing gold as it will go better with my outfit.
I attach my Marc Jacobs gold watch and place two lightly tightened brackets on my left hand, detaching my gold necklace from its stand and situate it onto my neck.
I look into the mirror exposing my outfit to matt making him ooze out wonderful comments. I paint my nails white linking it with some gold rings! I'm looking super tumblr! I smile realising my outfit is actually good. I look in the mirror once more time before tying my hair in a high pony tail. I grab my phone of my charging doc allowing the music to still play. Matt didn't even notice me! He was way to busy jamming out to 'Hotline bling'!

I change my phone case into a nice white hennaed pattern. Perfect! It matches! I'm so proud of myself. I take a pair of white standard high heels that I've only ever worn once and position the shoes on comfortably! I walk over to matt and give him a kiss! He looks up and blinks uncontrollably! I laugh. He was absolutely star stuck! I don't know if he was amazed or disappointed! All he said was "holy fuck"!
"I don't know if you mean that in a good way or a bad way?!?" I reply nervously. I'm never nervous around matt!!!! What is happening?
