I was sitting in the rehearsal room waiting for my Dwts partner to arrive. I was really nervous because I didn't know what to expect. I hear the door open and I look that way, and smile, DEREK HOUGH!!!
"Oh my gosh.... Hi.... Wow that was lame." I said blushing. "Don't worry I love lame." He said smiling. "I'm Kaya Bree, 26 years old.... And I'm an actress." I told him. "Well I'm Derek hough, 30 years old, and I'm a professional dancer." He said. "I know! Wait that sounded really creepy, my god I feel like I should go hide in a corner now..." I said, blushing deeply.

"You need to keep up your energy for this dance Kaya, I understand that it's hard but you need to." Derek said. This show is hard work and I have no clue what I'm doing here.
"Can I take a break please Derek?" I asked.
"Sure but be very quick." He said sternly.
What I wasn't telling Derek was that I had twisted my ankle in rehearsal yesterday and it was hurting me bad.
"What happened to your ankle hon?" I hear a voice say. I look behind me and see Derek. "Oh Derek." I say and try covering my ankle. "Babe why didn't you tell me about that?" Derek asks with a very worried face. "I didn't want to let you down, you've probably been through worse than this and I just wanted to show you that I can be tough!" I said, a tear slipping from my eye and onto his arm that was wrapped around me. "I feel like I've been a disappointment my entire life, I just want-ted to pro-ve that I can make people proud! I'm so sorry" I started just sob. "Babe you aren't a disappointment, and I don't care if I've seen 'worse' it still needs to be taken care of and I'm proud of you!" Derek said rubbing my back in a comforting way. "Now let's go practice." He said, grabbing my hand.

Monday October 4, 2015 6:00 pm 1 hour till first performance

I was pacing back and forth, nervous for the show. Derek comes up and hugs me. "You're going to be fine babe, I promise. Do you feel like you know the dance?" He says then asks. "Yeah, but my ankle is bugging me and I just want to be done already but it hasn't even started." I said hugging him a little bit tighter. "Hey Derek!" An unknown voice says, I look that way and see Sadie and mark, guessing it was mark who said 'hey Derek'. "Hey man, is this your dance parter?" Derek asks him. "Yup this is Sadie Robinson, and I guessing you're Kaya?" Mark said then asked looking at me. "Yup I'm Kaya!" I said. "Mark will you tell her there is nothing to be worried about?" Derek asked. "Yeah it's only the first night tonight, you'll do fine." Mark said. "But we've got to go finish getting ready." He said walking off with Sadie.

"Derek I can't do this, please don't make me do this" I said starting to have a panic attack. Derek runs over to me and keeps repeating for me to take deep breaths. "Shhhhhh, it'll be ok... You're going to do fine." He said in a soothing voice. "But I'm not used to being on live cameras, I don't know what to do!" I said. "Just don't think about it and you'll do fine!" He said. "Derek Hough and Kaya Bree to the stage!" Oh no.

We got on stage and I realized I really did have nothing to worry about! I danced my heart out, noticing my little slip ups, and making mental notes. When we finish I was so out of breath. Derek picked me up "that was so good babe!" Derek said. "Thanks, it was on you!" I said.
We got to the judges table and this is when I got the nerves.
"Wow that was very high energy!" Tom said "ok carrie Ann?" He asked
"Oh my gosh!! That was a very high energy performance and I loved it. But you did have a few slip ups so work on not thinking too much and just dancing your little heart out!" She said smiling.
"Ok, Len?"
"It could've been a bit better, you could be a bit more light on your feet but it's the first week, I don't expect it to be perfect!" He said. I looked at Derek but the loosed back at the judges.
"Ok Julianne?" Tom said.
"I loved your faces, they were SOOO sassy and cute! I do have to agree with Carrie, you did slip up a little with the kicks but I think that was just nerves!" She said.
"Bruno!" Tom said
"THAT WAS AMAZING!! Darlings I love the jive and you brought so much sass and energy to it! I loved it!!" Bruno said standing up.
"Ok both of you go up to Erin to get your scores!" Tom said.
Derek and I run to the stairs and then I walk up them while he runs.
I got hugs from some of the other stars and pro dancers.
"Wow guys, that was very fun to watch!" Erin said
"Thanks, she was so nervous before, but I think that slipped away, she's amazing and I love her and her faves that she makes!" Derek said slightly out of breath.
"Haha yes she is amazing, ok let's get your scores!"

"Not to bad for a first dance!" Erin said.
"See babe, nothing to worry about!" Derek said hugged me.
"Thanks, but we still have next week!" I said.
"Yeah, and you're going to crush it just like today!" He said smiling at me.

This is going to be in place of where Bethany was, I'm just going to be using any dance I like, so it's not necessary going to be Bethany's dances, I might pull some from this season (21) or from when amy purdy was his partener.
