Jungkook : Birthday

1st September, Jungkook's birthday. You were preparing the surprise you wanted to make for him. It was already the afternoon before Jungkook reach home at around 8. You already prepared all of the ingredients to make the cake on the counter.

"I hope this would work," You said to yourself crossing your fingers.

You are not that great at baking and actually this is your first time making an actual cake without any help. You already wrapped his present and prepared helium balloon that decorated the living room.

You mixed all of the ingredients together in the metal bowl and stirring it. The way you stirred the ingredients was a little rough as some of the flour went out of the bowl as you stir, creating a mess on the counter. Ignoring the mess, you continue to mix all of the ingredient.

You carefully poured the cake mixture into the mould and put it in the oven. You set the timer according to the instruction that the recipe told.

"Please work," you prayed to yourself shutting your eyes.

You let the cake bake as you went to make the frosting. The frosting was easier for you to make that you got to finish it quickly and put it in the fridge.

After that, you went to the living room continue to decorate it. You pasted a paper with the word 'Happy Birthday Jungkook!' on the wall where he can see when he enters.

Suddenly, you smelled something that had burnt. You panicked as you remembered about the cake that was baking. You ran to the kitchen wearing you mittens and carefully open the oven. Smoke went out of it and you smelled the burnt aroma. 

"Hot hot hot hot," you said as you carried the burnt cake to the counter sighing when you put it down.

You looked at the clock nearby and it was already 7:15pm. You started to panic as Jungkook would be home any time soon. Suddenly, your phone ring telling you that you have a notification. You took out your phone from your pocket. You have received a text message from Jungkook making you panic even more.

"Jagiya good news, I'll be home exactly at 8 today! Can't wait to see you, love you <3" the message wrote.

You half threw half place your phone on the counter and ran to the cabinet opening it to see if you still have the ingredients to make the cake. You smiled to yourself knowing that you still had enough ingredients to make the cake. You quickly took out all of the ingredients placing it on the counter.

You desperately pour all of the ingredients into the metal bowl and stir all of it in a rush you made a mess on your counter. You stirred it so hard that your face turned white from the flour that got onto your face. When the texture of the mixture looks good enough to you, you poured all it into another cake moulder that was smaller than the previous. You carefully place the cake into the oven and this time you lower the temperature of the oven, praying again to yourself that the cake would work.

"Jagiya, what are you doing?" you heard Jungkook's voice making you jump.

You turned around to see Jungkook leaning against the counter just looking at you and giggling.

"Jagiya, look at your face you're covered with flour" he caresses your cheek as he giggle.

"I tried making a cake for you but it burnt so I had to make another," you pouted and he just pulled you into a hug smoothing out your hair.

"It's okay y/n-ah, the effort is there so I'll appreciate it. No matter what, I still love you" he said making you smile.

He pulled away from the hug and kissed your forehead. Suddenly the timer for the oven went off making the both of you jump. This time the cake looks better than the previous and the both of you decorate it together while fooling around putting frostings on each others faces. When the candle was lit up, he made a quick wish and blew it.

"Happy birthday Kookie!" You shouted and did a heart with your arm making him smile.
