Preface
There she was, the girl I loved, right in front of me. The only person that accepted me for who I am.
Heather.
I waited for her to finish talking about how wrong bullying was, or something like that. I wasn't even listening anymore, all I just wanted the taste of her lips on mine. I slowly leaned into her, closing my eyes as our lips connected.
And then I felt a pair of hands thump against my chest.
"OH MY GOD, EW!" she said, covering her mouth.
I stared in shock and slowly backed away from her.
"What? What do you mean?" I said, tears building up my eyes.
She didn't say anything
"WHAT, DO I DISGUST YOU? DO YOU SEE ME AS JUST ANOTHER OUT CAST? JUST LIKE HOW EVERYONE ELSE SEES ME?" I shouted, everyone around us heard me, but I didn't care.
Still no answer.
"ANSWER ME!"
"Chandler... I'm sorry to say this, but..." she stopped, hesitated for a bit.
"But what?" I said, a lot more calmly now.
"I only became your friend because I felt bad for you. I saw people bullying you and..." her voice trailed off.
I didn't even let her finish. I've had enough. I ran, as fast as I could, I don't know where I'm going, and I don't care. I went inside an abandoned building, absolutely no one inside it. Just where I wanted to be.
I hugged my knees to my chest, rocking back and forth and thinking of what had just happened. I thought she was my friend. I thought someone had actually accepted me. I thought someone loved me for once. I looked around, and saw an old knife in a corner. I stared at it for a while, thinking whether or not I should... you know.
"No Chandler, no." I told myself. "Get your ass off the floor, you're not crying about a girl who doesn't even care about you."
I feel so stupid, why did I ever think that someone would actually be my friend? She made me more of a fool, she made me weak.
Someday, I will get revenge.
Someday, I'll return, stronger than ever.
