"Alright well let's get going," I said. We started our way to bass pro and then when we got close we turned off our bikes and crept up quite to make sure we didn't see any of those things, you know whatever they are. We looked and none of those things were out there. There were some people inside already and we pushed the bikes up to the doors and the girls were with us.
The store clerk ran to the door with a shotgun in his hand and keys in the other. Next thing he was yelling at us. "Show me your arms and legs." shouting "Are you bitten anywhere!!"
We told him no and then he let us in and we pushed ourselves inside. There were only about 5 other people in the store with him 2 other employees and 3 teenagers. They were only 17 they were 2 brothers and there names were Chris and Brandon. Chris's girlfriend was with him and he name was Monica. She was 17 too. They had been up early to see the a movie at AMC Showplace. The store employee was in his early twenties. He was 23 and named Jesse. The other two employees were two girls. One was Jesse's age and her name was Jen. They were together. Then the younger girl 16 was her younger sister that was interviewing for a job. Her name was Alexis.
"So has anyone thought of a plan," I said to everyone.
Jesse spoke up,"Well we are going to barricade the windows and then each person is going to get geared up to be able to fight those Zombies."
Brad said,"Zomblies?? Really you gotta be kidding me." Then it clicked in his eyes. "Of course that's why that guy was being bit and why they were in packs."
Jen spoke up and said,"You guys are crazy. Zombies aren't real. It's just a disease that's making people crazy."
Alexis said,"No they are right I saw what they saw. Well not exactly but the same kinda deal." Everyone shook their heads to agree that it was zombies.
"Well let's go get geared up because I'm going to need to protect my brother and my girl," Chris said.
Brad and I said, "Me too," at the same time. Then we all went to the second floor and began to get ready and prepare ourselves. Jesse said for everyone to stand in a line as he gave out everyone what they asked for.
Each person got a gun holster that rapped around there thigh. It was like military style. Then each person received a handgun they picked out. I went with the desert eagle. Brad got the same. Chris got a .45 and the girls all picked a 9mm. I already had mine in my back pack. Then we got a belt holster for all the extra mags we had to carry. Then we all got backpacks that could hold more rounds. I got a vest like the other guys did.
Then we picked out assault riffles. We all got the M4 and I put a red dot sigh on mine. Brad an I got the same things because we loved to play call of duty. Each person followed us. We were all packed to survive. Then we decided to have people take shifts to watch the store as we slept for the night. Jesse and Jen would take first shift. Next would be Chris and Monica. Third would be Brad and Jess. Fourth would be Brandon and Alexis. Finally it would be Morgan and I. The shifts were only 2 hours long.
"Jake will we be okay? I'm really scared and I know that I have you. I just can't think straight cause what happened today," said Morgan.
"Look, we're going to be fine. I'll protect you with my life I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I promise. I love you Morgan," I said. Then I kissed her and she pulled away after a little bit.
"I love you too," she said. We went to sleep and waited for our sift.
