This is Jacklyn Serenity. She is an ordinary girl on the outside. Yet on the inside, a lingering hatred for others lives on and on. "So," said her therapist, Martha, "do you know why you hate people so much?" "Yes," Jacklyn replied as she played with a ball of crumpled up paper. "Well do you want to tell me?" Jacklyn stayed completely silent. She didn't trust anyone. She didn't trust the therapist. Not even her own mother and father. No matter what people did, she hated and didn't trust them. Just because.

A few weeks after her last therapist appointment, she was back home, doing her homework. As she sat on her back porch, she noticed that her neighbors, the Livinski's were outside playing softball. She glared at them and then turned her head back toward her math book to study. The next thing she knew was that a softball landed right on the center of the book, making her fall backwards in her chair from being startled. "Oh!" Shouted one of the three Livinski sisters named Madison, "Sorry about that! I have terrible aim!" Jacklyn got up and had an evil look on her face. "Hell yeah you do.." She growled under her breath. She threw it back towards Madison, she also picked up her math book which had been dropped into a puddle. "God dangit!!" She shouted as she flipped through the pages, "all of it is ruined!!!" She growled once more and set the book aside. She glared once more at the Livinski's. A red flash of light went through her mind, followed by many thoughts of the Livinski's dying a horrible, bloody, gorey death. She shook her head at the thought and went inside the house.

The next day, Jacklyn ran down her driveway as fast as she could to catch the bus, although she didn't make it. "Seriously?!" She yelled as she watched the bus roll away. She suddenly felt raindrops on her arms. She sighed and started to walk to school, being poured on.

The classroom door to Jacklyn's fourth hour slammed open. "Jacklyn," said her teacher, Mr. Harris, "you're late." "Yeah I know," Jacklyn said darkly as she trudged past other students to get to her desk. They all stared at her with petrified looks. Her mascara was running down her face with her wet hair and clothes to make it look even scarier. She slumped into her seat and pulled out her ruined math book. "Jacklyn," Mr. Harris said again, "what happened to your math book?" "Some stupid neighbors through a ball at me and I dropped it into a puddle.." She said as she handed him the book. The boy behind her giggled and whispered to his friend, "sure... 'Accident'..." "What did you say?" Jacklyn demanded as she turned around and stared at the boy. "I-I said nothing!" He said as his eyes widened. "That's what I thought," she said back and turned around.

After fourth hour, Jacklyn was struggling to open her locker. "Open you damned thing!" She shouted as she kicked the locker. "H-hey Jacklyn?" Said a voice as the person walked up to her. Jacklyn turned to face a tall, black haired boy named Charley. "What do you want.." Jacklyn growled softly but in a talkative tone. "I've seen you around and I was hoping we could be friends!" He said cheerfully but nervously at the same time. "Yeah... Sure I guess," Jacklyn replied, "first friend I'll ever have." "Wow okay," chuckled Charley, "well I'll see you around!" With that he walked down the hall. Jacklyn clenched her chest. What was this feeling..? She's never felt this feeling before... Except for around that boy. "Friend..." She whispered to herself. And a small smile spread across her face.

Jacklyn wore her smile for the rest of the day. "Jacklyn, you can smile?" Asked her mother, "I've never seen you do that before!" Her smile faded when she realized a person was talking to her. She quickly went up into her room and danced. She felt so happy inside... It was a good feeling, but it worried her. Suddenly, a softball crashed through her window, making a loud crash noise. "Oh my god!!" Shouted Mary Livindowski, "I'm so sorry!!" "SORRY FOR THIS?!" Jacklyn yelled back as she pulled out and aimed her BB gun. She shot and hit Mary in the eye. Her screams could be heard throughout the entire neighborhood. Jacklyn giggled with a slight insanity spark and hid the BB gun. She didn't know why seeing others in pain and agony made her feel cheerful and happy inside. It just did. She watched out the window at Mary being helped into her house with one bloody hand cupped over her eye. Entertaining.
