I was awoken by the sound of my alarm going off next to me. It's only 4:00am so I have plenty of time to get ready for school. My bus comes at 6:00am, and is normally early. I started towards my bathroom when my phone buzzed. It was a good morning text from my boyfriend Xavier; Morning babe, can't wait to see you taday, happy 1 year Chloe ;)
You see, Xavier is perfect, his soft wavy brunette hair contrasts perfectly with his ocean blue eyes, and he's easily 6 inches taller than me, so he's a perfect cuddle buddy. Today is our one year aniversary, and he promised to make it extra special, seeing that we've had a previous year long relationship that didn't work out as well. I found him snogging my (ex)bestfriend. We worked things out, it took me a while to forgive him, but I only did because he owned up to his mistake.
I took a quick, 10 minute shower. Once I got out I started to straighten my naturally curly hair. Then, I aplied some mascara and eyeliner to make my blue eyes pop. Xavier and I look very similar with our blue eyes and brown hair. We're easily mistaken for brother and sister.
I headed over to my closet. I decided on wearing an oversized cream coloured sweater that fell off my shoulder with a pair of black leggings. I matched my burgundy coloured one inch booties to my circle scarf that I placed around my neck, so my teachers wouldn't notice me breaking dress code. I put some diamond studs in, and headed down to the kitchen for breakfast.
Neither my sister or parents were awake, so I decided on just making toast. I'm not really hungry until lunch anyways so this should hold me over.
"I'm leaving!" I yelled throughout the house. Even if my parents didn't hear, I didn't feel right without yelling it through the house like I've been doing since I was allowed to walk to the bus stop by myself in fifth grade.
The wind was really strong on this cold December morning, and it was blowing my hair everywhere. I decided to put it up in a ponytail. I pulled out some baby hairs so I would look remotely fashionable.
"Chloe!" I heard somebody scream. It sounded muffled because of the wind, so I turned around during only to find my bestfriend Eva running at me. She nearly tackled me to the ground. I'm glad she didn't, or else I would be covered in the slush that had been piled onto the sides of the street by the snowplows.
I live in Manchester, England, so it gets pretty cold here during the fall and winter months. This year it's been really cold. The first time it snowed was in early November. Since then it's snowed almost three times a week every week. I love the cold though, so it doesn't bother me that there's always snow. Whenever there's snow falling, or on the ground, it's always a great picture opportunity.
"So how's Xavier been treating you lately? Oh! Today is your one year aniversary with him isn't it!" My always hyper, ginger best friend said excitedly.
"Xavier treats me fine Eva, you don't have to worry this time, promise. And yes it is our one year aniversary, and he said he had something special planed for tonight."
"That's good, I just don't want to see you hurt again that's all. Your practically my sister, and it would pain me to see you hurt." Eva is such a caring person. I think it's the fact that she is an american.
I have a theory that all Americans are really nice. One year when I went to America to visit some family, everyone I met there was so nice and caring. Then, Eva moved here from Michigan, and she was the most shy, yet sweetest person I've ever met. Now, 5 years later, in year 12, we're two peas in a pod, as people like to call us. We're always by each other's side and we even made it so our schedules were the same. Except for the fact that I'm in our schools concert band, and she isn't, so that's the only period we don't have together.
