A tall girl with brown hair and brown eyes walks into a dining room with a large, old table surrounded with chairs of a similar description. She wears a red plaid shirt, dark jeans, and black converse. In the room, just finishing up placing the table with nice silverware is a short girl with bleach blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. She wears a lilac flowing top with light blue shorts and white sneakers. The tall girl sneaks up behind the short one, wraps her arms around the girls waist, and plants a kiss on top of her head. The short girl lets out an adorable squeak, then turns around and sees the tall girls face. She smiles, wraps her arms around the others shoulders, and kisses her lightly on the lips.

"Happy anniversary, Lex." The short girl says.

"Happy anniversary, Cat." The tall one says in response. Two years ago these two lovebirds met online with their shared love of art and tv shows, soon after they started dating and didn't meet face to face until four months later. Exactly one year ago Cat moved from her home in Florida up to Wisconsin to live with Lex, and on an impulse they bought a building and set it up as an apartment. They now have a small collection of tenants, and the building has set up a strange family setting, often waiting for everyone to be present for social meals or group gatherings to watch tv, share art, or just support each other. Through the doors into the dining room come two of said tenants, laughing hysterically an an unknown joke. One has brown hair tied in a high bun, rectangle glasses on her face, a button up top covered with a large sweater, and Toms. The other has short red hair, swooping to the right side of her face like a wave, hipster glasses (although she would never call them such), a plaid shirt, and Union Jack converse. Upon seeing the two landladies the laughing duo wipe the joyful tears from their eyes and greet them.

"Oh, hey guys!" The red haired one says, still breathing heavily from the laughter.

"Whats going on here, Corgi?" Lex asks, resting her arm on Cats shoulder.

"Well on the way down here, Corg told the absolute worst joke and we got distracted trying to one up each other."

"Hey, watch it Cap! My joke was well thought out and timed! It was brilliance!" Corgi says, swatting her arm.

"It was cheesy, and that's being generous!" Cap rebuttals.

"Ooo! Cheesy jokes, I wanna hear!" Cat says, sitting in a chair near them with Lex next to her.

"Well, here's one you might like. What do you call a deer with no eyes?" Corgi starts.

"What?" Lex asks.

"Noideer!" She responds. All three of them groan in defiance and Corgi cheers victory.

"Well what did Abraham Lincoln plead when charged with murder?" Captain asks. Before anyone has the chance to reply, she shouts, "In a cent!" and they groan again, this time with Cap being the victor.

"Well, what does a cat in the desert have in common with christmas?" Cat asks. The four of them sit around telling severely bad jokes until groans of annoyance turn into unstoppable laughter. Once they stop laughing and/or crying, Lex asks

"So, what do you guys have brought for the anniversary party?"

"Well, I've written some one shots and drawn a little something for you guys, nothing much." Corgi responds.

"I drew something cool, can't wait to reveal it." Cap follows. "What about you guys?"

"Well, Cat and I have been working on something for a few weeks now that we're not gonna unveil until everyone gets here." Lex informs.

"Can't wait to see it!" Corgi exclaims. before the group can continue their conversation, another tenant walks through the doors. As the couple walks up to meet them, Corgi and Cap continue their joke war as quietly as they can manage.  The new arrival have short brown hair and are wearing black tights with gold designs and a baggy sweater covered in daisy patterns. They wave at the two with their free hand while the other holds a paper shopping bag.
