Dear Mary,
I am Beth Miller. I like ordinary things that any girl should like, for example art, dancing, music and more. I am not rich but I am not poor either. I live in Essex I have dark brown hair and I am very tall and skinny, I have 1 brother and 1 sister and I have my mother and father. My grandmother is living with us for a while before she goes back home. In this school vacation I am going on a boat, a rather big one with thousands of people. The titanic. It is my first trip on a boat and I am very frightened about many things, what if it sunk? What if I fall off? No one knows what can happen. No one cares what happens. Just as long as they have a good time that's all they think about. But I think about those poor people that live down there. I can't imagine living down there not in a million years. I wouldn't like it but thankfully I will be living halfway up the boat, not on the top, not on the bottom either but I hope I meet some new people and maybe, just maybe, I'll fall in love.
Yours sincerely,
Beth Miller.

"Beth Miller? Are you here?" Asked Miss Edmunds
"Yes miss" Shouted Beth as she was at the back of the class.
Miss Edmunds calls out the rest of the names while Beth was writing her letter in class because it was supposed to be for homework but she forgot.
As Miss Edmunds finished of the roll of attendance Beth just finished her letter.
"Yes!" She whispered and she placed it on the table.
Miss Edmunds started asking for people to get out their letter. When she finally got to Beth she picked it up and read it and placed it on the board.
"Now students, this is what a great letter looks like." Miss Edmunds shouted.
Everyone turned around to Beth with amazement on their faces. Beth is the only girl in the class apart from Miss Edmunds because it was unnecessary for a girl to go to school.

As the bell rang signalling the end of the day she quickly packed her bag and almost got pass Miss Edmunds before she could get out the door.
"Beth?" Said Miss Edmunds
Beth rolled her eyes and turned around. "Yes miss?"
"You should come to our English workshop this vacation, and teach students how to write a letter."
"I am sorry miss but I can't this vacation."
"It's for extra credit." Said Miss Edmunds
"I have a boat trip planned that goes through the whole vacation, I am sorry miss but I can't."
"I understand, now run along"

She ran down the corridor and her best friend was already waiting for her outside the gates.

"What took you so bloomin' long?!" Said Chelsea
"Miss Edmunds." Said Beth
"Say no more." Chelsea said
"Anyway we better get going before our parents murder us," Beth said eagerly

When they got home Beth waved goodbye and raced upstairs only to find an empty suitcase on her bed.

Right the boat.
She quickly packed all of her things. Her art book, pencils, make up, swim suit, clothes and jewellery.
Her mother was already urging her to hurry the hell up or they'll leave with out her. But Beth is always late, late for assignments, late for get togethers and especially late for dates. That's why she doesn't have a boyfriend. They all broke up with her because they didn't want someone who was late all of the time. Except one, who moved away and just got to hard.

Beth was finally packed and her mother, father, brother and sister were waiting for her in the car. She put her suitcase in the trunk and plonked herself in the car. Her mother turned around and started yelling but Beth didn't care she just tuned her out and stared out the window. When her mother finally realised she wasn't paying attention she turned around and crossed her arms.

When they got there her mother turned around again
"Are you ready?" She asked
She paused and stared at the boat. "Ready as I'll ever be." And got out of the car.
