Humanity was Weak

Life on earth is like a unrelenting storm, it may feel like everything is moderately okay for a while but as soon as people get comfortable the wind starts up again destroying everything in its path. When people get comfortable they become weak and weak people are useless in a crisis. Sure, there are some people who learn to adapt quickly but they usually have to end up living out their sad lives looking after the weak. In some cases the weak are the strong's downfall and when this happens to many times the strong start to see a pattern and begin abandoning the weak in a pathetic need for self-preservation. It puts the world in to a state of chaos and hatred for one another, the strong will turn on the weak killing or leaving for dead it doesn't really matter what does is that we lose part of our humanity as we go.

But that's what They wanted from the beginning. Complete and utter chaos to fall upon on our world. Why? Well They want to start over you see with one nation of perfect people for their imperfectly deluded minds as a means to finally find peace. But it's not like They can just go around killing people, no that would be to controversial, not everyone would not listen to some radical group muttering their beliefs on how they think the world should be. They had to be subtle, quiet and act as if they had nothing to do with anything until the times is right for them to show their ugly face and take the earth for their own. So they caused chaos among the people, by all means necessary and let everyone kill each other until only few strong remained. And then They collected them up into their new society and let them get comfortable. But remember what happens when people get comfortable?

Do you want to know how they caused the chaos? Fear. They put a nasty little virus in our food that caused severe sickness that ended in many cases, for young children and the elderly, in death. They whispered in the ears of governments, that neighbouring countries had poisoned their citizens causing war across the globe. Assassinations as They wormed their ways into the highest ranks of government and military forces. The world isn't safe anymore, but was it ever safe to begin with? Then They just sat on their pathetic asses as the world erupted in mayhem and violence and their job was finally done. They took control over the earth and rounded us up like animals to live in their 'safe zones' still continuing their facade that the wars were still happening even though they weren't. It was just a way of keeping us under control and unaware of the atrocities had been committed. But They hadn't accounted for one thing, a very big problem that was only discovered after the destruction of society. They call them The Blight, but really they are anything but that. The people who caused our downfall created The Blight the most powerful humans on our earth. The virus that They put in our food changed some of their genetic makeup granting them powers one would only see in a science fiction movie. But this only happened to a select few, only two million and ninety people to be exact. Out of the three billion people left on the entire earth.

They hunt The Blight, who fight to bring justice and freedom back to the world. But They are hunting one individual more then the rest of them, They are hunting Her. The key to stopping The Blight but she is also the key to the worlds freedom its up to Her which side she chooses and it could ultimately be the end for the entire human race.
