You were once reliable, that I know,
it's why I reached out, letting our friendship grow.
We saw things in the exact same ways,
never disagreeing on the worst of our days.
We built up trust, stronger than the rest,
I thought it was true, that you were the best.
One day, you wavered, left me alone,
I let it go, I was fine on my own.
Then you repeated this, week after week,
and I still wonder why we didn't speak.
You then avoided me, left me for dead.
our friendship was soon hanging by a strand of thread.
I asked you why, starting a fight,
you said I was worthless, I believed you were right.
But over time, I've grown strong,
I now realize, you were wrong.
And to this day, I'm still greatly affected,
I must admit, this was something I never expected.
