Mom, do we really have to move?" asked a twelve-year-old, slim figured, brunette.
Today was her last day living in Alberta. She was very disappointed that she had to leave her friends and family behind but a bit thrilled she wouldn't have to freeze to death during the winter.
"Yes sweetheart we do. Aria don't give me that look; change is good! Now help me with these boxes." Aria's Mother, Tiffany, Commanded
Aria pouted as she took the last small cardboard box into the moving truck.
Once that was over with; she got into the cab, not before saying her final goodbye to her friends and grandparents, and drove off to the airport.
The plane ride was pretty "new" to Aria. This was her first time being on a plane since her father died in the accident. Thankfully her mother helped her get through with it and encouraged her to get on-board.
After the nine-hour flight, from Alberta to Miami, they finally arrived safe and sound. They both made their way towards the cab terminals and drove towards their new house.
It was huge! Their house, I mean. It was a semi-dark brown house. There were flowers and birds everywhere in the front and backyard. The inside of the house was amazing. There was a gigantic spiral staircase going up to the bedrooms. The whole house was decorated in a medieval theme.
Aria smiled for the first time all day. Her sadness feelings subsided as she took each step towards the mansion-like-house. She knew she would love it here the minute she stepped in.
The next day, was her free time. Her mother was at her new job and since she had no school and is also old enough to be home alone, she decided to explore the town.
Aria wore a cute multi-colored floral shirt with some jean shorts, and a black cardigan. She wore the locket that her father gave her and braided her hair towards her left shoulder.
Since she lived in a very safe community, she decided to walk towards the park, since it was right across from her house, and look around from there.
As she was roaming around the park, a great force knocked her to the ground.
Aria groaned, "Ouch! Hey watched where you're going!"
The figure on top of her stood up and offered her a hand, which she gladly accepted.
"I am so sorry! My friend threw the ball too high. I didn't see you there." The mystery boy sheepishly explained.
"Obviously" She muttered while dusting the grass, which was on her, off. She finally looked up and saw the most adorable grey eyes.
'Wow can I already have a crush?' She thought to herself; not once taking her eyes off of the mystery guy standing in front of her.
"Hi! My name is James, James Tomson. What's yours?" he questioned.
She snapped out of her thoughts and shook her head, "Um, Aria, Aria Marie. I just moved here yesterday."
"Well its nice to meet you Aria. Welcome to the neighborhood! If you need any advice or directions I'm your guy... Do you want to play ball with my friend, Conner?" He asked while pointing at the African boy that was across the field, waving.
Aria knew how to play football. Her father taught her how before he passed. Obviously she was very close to her father. He died about 3 years ago in a plane crash on his way home from Europe.
"Sure." She muttered taking interest in her black Nike* running shoes.
They played for who knows how long, Laughing, running, and having a great time. That is until they heard a loud shriek.
