After they had finished packing (and tickling), Avery had drove them to the airport, parking the car and getting them through security. Now they were sitting by the airplane gate. Waiting.

They were still nervous about being affectionate in public, but this trip was exciding enough that they could hardly handle it. Teasing, kisses on the cheek, and hand holding was done often.

Currently, Emily was asleep holding Avery's hand and listening to music. Avery was admiring Emily's beautiful blonde hair and adorable alien sweat shirt, heart drawn on hand. How could you not love Emily? Avery leaned down and planted a soft kiss on Emily's cheek.

"Faggot! Gay!" a voice screamed. Emily started awake, looking frightened. They tore their hands away.

"What in the name of...?" Emily stuttered, bleary eyed from sleep.

"Hell take you in!" It continued.

Avery identified the voice, glowering. A middle aged woman with a cross necklace and a long, white skirt. Christens.

"Spawn of the devil! You'll be welcomed in hell! Get away from here!"

Emily glanced up, understanding. Security was nowhere to be seen. Avery tapped her shoulder, leaning over.

"We should tell the employee over there," Avery murmured.

Emily scowled. "Tell her that we're gay? I don't know what kind of airport this is, what if we get kicked out?" She started rushing on, but Avery shushed her.

"Ma'am, please settle down. Religious beliefs are not to be expressed here." Security had arrived. A good thing it was, only going to show that they had to be careful. Always had to be careful.

"How can you let hell spawn into your facility?" The woman sounded more confused than accusing. The rushing sound of an airplane approached.

"Shit," Avery murmured. "If that woman is on our plane I swear to God-"

Emily interrupted her, disturbed but ready to make a joke nonetheless, "God won't like you swearing by him if he wants you to go to hell, Avery."

Avery let out a short, sarcastic laugh. If laughs could be sarcastic.

"Let's go." Emily finished the gate had opened, and Avery had their tickets prepared.

The woman was still arguing with security, and looked flustered and upset.

"I hope she misses her plane," Emily hissed. She didn't exactly wish harm upon the woman, just uncomfortable situations.

"At least society is getting somewhere." Avery muttered. Not sure if she was supposed to hear that, Emily pretended not to. Maybe it was... any other time they would have been forced to leave or left to be insulted, she guessed.

Time to get on the plane.
