I Never Expected This [Niall Horan Fan Fiction]

Eyes closed, shivering from the cold but he wrapped his arms around me. I felt his warm breath against my cheek. He leaned in, pulling our bodies closer together, our lips were just centimeters away.

"AND CUT! good job everybody" I sighed and looked up at max who was still close to me.

"Harriet, can you see me after class please?" asked Mrs Panerez. I nodded and turned my attention back to Max. he smiled at me, his eyes were watery from all the lighting we used in drama class.

" guess i'll see you in maths then" he chuckled and walkd away. I grabbed my bag and started loading my books into it, still a little bit weak at the knees from how close i had been to the guy I had a crush on.

" Harriet? could I see you? I know you have your next lesson to get to, it will only be a minuet" i swiveled on my feet to turn around and face Mrs Panerez. She had black hair which was slicked back into a tight bun. She was dressed in a black dress which only came down to her mid thighs, some tights and bright red heels.

"what do you need? am I in trouble? because I am really sorry, I diddn't mean to tear a hole in my costume, I was rushing and I" she cut me off. I had a problem where whenever i was nervous I would let words just spill out of my mouth. Verbal diarrhea. lovely.

"No, no your not in trouble... wait, theres a hole in your costume? well, we don't need to worry about that. I was actually going to ask if you were free this saturday? I have a great oppertunity for you wich would look great on your record."

I was intrigued. " London academy of dance and drama have offered 12 schools to be in a play in the west end. I have to pick 5 students and I though that I would pick you seeing as your the best in this school."

well I wouldn't go that far, saying i'm the best but it did make me smile.

"of course you will have to audition and you will be there all weekend but the hotel arrangements are all sorted out and everything is payed for by the school."

I was speechless. Things like this never happen to me. I don't know whether to accept or not. I'm only just 18, i'm not that great at acting. and of course i have exams i need to study for. It was a lot of pressure.

"what play?" I asked "grease" she replied. God damn, I love grease. I swallowed and bit my lip.

"okay!" i said excitedley.

"excellent, I will call right away" I walked out of the door beaming. My smile was so wide i must of looked like the joker.

"what the hell is up with you?" my best friend Kim said, eyebrows raised, questioning my uncommonly wide smile. I explained to her my conversation with my drama teacher as we headed of to the lunch hall.

"what? no way. your lying." she said

"No i'm not. i'm deadly serious" i looked her straight in the eye, all serious.

"Harriet that's amazing!" she tugged on my black band shirt while jumping up and down. she was always a little bit.... hyper.

we sat down for lunch with some other people in sixth form. sometimes I wish I had gone to collage. Oh well. a few more months here won't hurt.

Kim's phone buzzed and she got it out from her pocket. she smiled. "whats so funny?" I asked her. "Nothing, one direction just tweeted" ugh. one direction. same as always. Kim couldn't shut up about how hot they were.

Kim is the type of girl who loves boy bands and girly things, her brown hair is always perfectly straight and she wears cute skirts and tops and has pretty shoes and likes to go shopping. Me on the other hand, I like punk bands and rock bands. I loved Queen and bon jovi. I wore skinny jeans with converses and had my light blond hair up in a pony tail most of the time. I never really bother with my hair or makeup, never dyed my hair, and sometimes i don't even bother to brush it in the mornings. I know, im a lazy slob. Whatever. I also liked to play guitar and skateboard. I don't know how Kim and I are still best friends seeing as we like completely different things.

" just look at that Godley-ness!" said Kim shoving her Iphone into my face. On the screen was a picture of a boy around our age, with blond hair sticking up. He was actually quite good looking.

"and who is that I wander" I knew it was one of those guys from one direction. The amount of times Kim has shown me pictures of them is unbelievable. I just diddn't know who he was.

" thats Niall. Oh Oh and heres a picture of Louis and Liam oh and Zayn and Harry!"

I face palmed before turning my attention back to my cheese pasta. I love food. A LOT. more than words can say.

"you really need to stop obsessing over these guys" said my friend Jake. "Back off Jake, she has good taste, they are amazing" said my other friend Whitney. my friends are an interesting bunch.

I got home from school that day and flung by bag onto the sofa.

"MUM, I'M HOME!" I yelled.

"Oh sweetey, I heard the wonderful news!"

"what, that I had pasta for lunch. Yeah i'm Healthy!"

"No, Mrs Panerez rang me. I am so proud of you!" she cried before kissing my head. i took a step back.

"muuuuum. what the hell." she sighed before smiling at me and walking into the kitchen.

my 13 year old sister walked into the room, her long blond hair swaying. she walked over or "swaggered with stylez" as she would say. Shes weird. anyway, she walked over to me.

"meet me in my room in five" she said before running up the stairs. alright then.

I walked into her room five minuets later. I glanced at her walls covered with posters that said "ONE DIRECTION" oh dear god, will I ever escape from this life filled with nothing but one direction loving people. whatever. I had nothing against the band, just not my style.

"what do you need?" I asked. Or rather demanded.

" I hear your going to London at the weekend then." I nodded. "okay great because one direction will be there because they are taking a break in London and I need you to be on the look out for them." my eyebrow raised before i swiveled on my feet and skipped out the door. "you know how I feel about that band!" I shouted from in my room. "how can you not love them" she shouted back.

Quite easily actually.
