Chapter 4: The past

Mr and Mrs Parker I have some good news, your daughter is awake; said the nurse. The happiness that was in my mother and fathers eyes was so magical, it almost seemed unrealistic. My eyes are open, sound comes on my mouth but I don't know who are in front of me.

Becky honey ohhhhh, said my mom in tears of joy. I look at her and try to speak but no words come out. I'm fascinated by the new things I see.

I think we should leave Becky to sleep, it seems as if she's having a memory problem and we will have to make her sleep so that the doctor can do the operation on the brain; said the nurse.

Another operation are you trying to kill her; yelled my dad.

Sir, I'm honestly sorry but there is improvement, she woke up and now the doctor can finally do his last operation; says the nurse.

Okay, but does that mean we are going to have to wait for her to wake up; asks my dad.

Well, I can't judge now sir; said the nurse.

The doctors come in ask my parents and Micheal to leave the room. They take my bed and take me to the operating room. For some reason I'm noticing everything happening.....it's almost like I can see it, see everything happen.

Please hand me the needle, asked the one surgeon while they were operating me.....

So is she awake, or are we going to have to wait for her to wake up from another coma; said dad.

Sir I know it's a lot to take in, but yes she is in another coma and it will take time I don't know how long but time until she awakens; says the surgeon.

Kevin I think you should calm down, maybe I should to take you for some frozen yoghurt to make you feel a little better; said Janet (mom).

I don't know, what if she wakes up when we are gone; said dad.

If she does then when we get back we'll have time to be with her; said mom. My mom and dad decide to leave the hospital. They drive to Glandville Mall, and off they go to the frozen yoghurt shop. My dad took the biggest cup and filled it with all his and my flavours, adding all the toppings. My mom being a lady took the medium sized cup and put a couple of flavours. They paid and sat down.

So you do still like Banana Swerve I see; said my dad smiling.

Honestly, the reason why I like it is because I was eating it when we first met; said mom smiling.

Oh so you remember huh; said my dad.

We were 18 when we met; said mom.

I thought we would stay together forever; said my dad.

Yea me too, but you know life goes on; said mom.

So how's your fiance, what is it like being engaged? , asked dad.

Well his okay I guess, we got engaged 10 months ago and I am thinking of breaking it off, because I know that he is seeing someone else; said mom.

Oh that's really sad, I mean his making the biggest mistake of his life, you don't deserve to go through this; said dad.

Oh well what can I say. How about you, are you in a relationship?; asked mom.

No, and I'm not planning to. I have my little girl so I'm fine; said dad.

*BUZZBUZZBUZZ* dads phone rings. Uhm I'm I have to take this; said dad.

We have to go now; said dad.

Why? , is everything okay; asked mom.

We just have to go now, fast; said dad. They rush off and go in the car, they drive to the hospital as fast as possible.

Is she okay? What's happening, what's wrong? ; asked dad concerned.

Sir I suggest you go see your little girl; said the nurse.

Hi daddy; I said smiling.

I have never seen my dad as happy as I saw him today, oh my baby your awake, you made it; said my dad with the happiest voice ever. Without hesitation he took out his phone and we took selfies *snap, snap, snap*. He put it as he profile picture on whatsapp. Wait honey I think you should meet someone; said my dad. He moved out of my way, and there she was my mother. Now honestly I don't know exactly how to respond to this, but you know what I might as well suck it up and be sweet.

Hey mom; I said. She came over to me, hugged me while crying.

Oh my girl, I'm so sorry I hope you can forgive me, I hope we can start again and even though I haven't been around I'm here; said mom in tears. I honestly could see she meant it, and so I said; mom it's okay, I forgive you and I'm actually happy we can start again.

My dad joined and we had one group hug. The nurse came and took a photo of us together.

Wow I just got in an accident, I was about to die, I survive miraculously, my dad is happy and I'm with my mom.
