Gon stared up at the massive stone gates as the tour bus he was in rolled up to Kukuroo Mountain. It stopped in front of them and everybody got out and started posing for pictures while pretty much ignoring the tour guide. Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio watched as two guys they had seen on the bus separated from all the tourist information and started for the guard house. One was pretty thin and shorter than his friend and the other was massive in every sense of the word.
"So this is the famous Zoldyk family house?" One of them, the thin one, said to the other. "I hear one picture of them is worth 100 million"
Leorios mouth dropped as he realized he could have taken Killua's picture and sold it. The two men walked up to the guard house and one of them ripped the door off its hinges and threw the guard out.
"Give us the key, old man." The thin one demanded as he stared down at the old gentleman that was on the floor in front of him. The old man reached into his pocket and shakily withdrew a key. The men snatched it and ran to the side door and opened it.
Everyone watched as the guard got up and brushed himself off. He sighed and shook his head. "Now Mike is going to be eating between meals again." He said sounding disappointed. Then they heard screaming from inside the gates. The two men that had just gone in were screaming for their lives. There was a growl and then the screams were quiet. The locked door opened and a large purple hand reached out and deposited two clean skeletons on the ground outside.
The tour group screamed in horror after a moment of shock. They ran back into the bus and the tour guide started shouting at Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio to all get back on the bus.
Gon just smiled and waved to her "Don't worry about us! We are staying here for a while"
The tour guide looked like she wanted to argue. But eventually the want to get away from the mountain overrode that desire and the bus sped away.
The guard looked curiously at the three people that had stayed behind at the Mansions front gate. Gon turned towards the guard and began to walk to him. Gon got to him and smiled up at him
"We're here to see Killua!"
The guard started in surprise. Killua had friends. Finally. But he sighed a little bit. He knew that he wouldn't be able to let them in. But he waved them in to the guard house anyways.
He made a pot of tea and poured it then looked at the three hunters in front of him. "So..." Gon said, "Can we see Killua now?"
The guard shook his head and told them no. "Nobody is allowed to see Master Killua. Those are my orders. I can't let anyone inside. But..."
"Please! I have to see him!" Gon interrupted.
The guard smiled "But Since you are Master Killua's friends... I can try calling up to the house and asking."
The guard got up and walked over to a small dial phone on a table and picked it up. After a few seconds there was a voice on the other end. The guard tried to speak "Hello, this is the guard, there are some young people down here that say they are Killua's frie... Yes sir. Of course. I understand."
He set the phone back down and turned to them and shook his head. Gon wasn't going to accept that though. He asked the guard to call the house again and let him speak. The guard relented and dialed again and handed the receiver to Gon.
"Killua doesn't have friends. Kindly go away." A chilly voice sounded over the phone before Gon even opened his mouth. He heard a click and the line went dead. He stared at the receiver for a second and then placed it down. Then he turned to the guard. The guard motioned for them to follow him.
