"YAH! LEE-HYORI!" My eyes flew open.
"N-ne!?" I looked around me. Wide eyes stared at me. Aish. Stop making me so uncomfortable... (A/N: When the font is italicized, it's what the character is thinking.)
"Mwo? 'N-ne?'? Yah. Lee-Hyori. Do you want to learn?" I stared up into furious brown eyes. I gulped.
"Ani-yo!" A boy said, trying hard not to laugh. (Translation: "Nope!")You could tell by the way he said "Ani-yo!". The class averted their attention to him and erupted into laughter.
"Yah. Min-Yoon Gi. Gueman hae-yo. Modu gueman hae-yo!" (Translation: "Stop. All of you stop!") "Aigoo. Aigoo. Lee-Hyori. Min-Yoon Gi. See me after school in the teachers' office." With that last statement, Ma Ri-Seongsaengnim swiftly walked back to the front of the classroom, dropped her papers into a black drawer, dismissed the class, and left the room. Immediately, people started talking to each other and laughing. Whenever people laughed, I always had that feeling that they were laughing about me. Maybe I had something in the back of my light brown hair? Probably not. Just my insecurities in the back of my head.
"Oi oi, Hyori-ah."
"U-uh?" I turned around to be face to face with the prettiest pair of eyes ever. "O-oh! Soo-Ah!"
"Hmmmm...." Soo-Ah lifted her head back up and turned around, leaving me looking at her perfect, long brown hair which was made up of many perfect curls that I would never be wearing to school. Ever. I guess only wealthy families could afford hair curlers and straighteners. Soo-Ah glanced at me and then turned back to her two friends, Mi-Ra and Ga-Eul, the brattiest of the brattiest. How did they even get popular? The three whispered discreetly and then Soo-Ah turned back to me with a cheerful smile. Maybe too cheerful. "Come with us. We have... things to discuss."
