It Was 3 Minutes Until The Tardy Bell Rang And I Was Just Walking Into The School. "Just Great." I Mumbled To Myself. I Did Not Want Another Detention- So I Ditched Going To My Locker And Booked It Down The Hallway Rushing Into The Classroom Before What Seemed Like A Split-Second Before The Bell Rang. "Hmm Almost Scored Yourself Another Tardy Didn't You Ms. Santos." Scoffed My Algebra Teacher Mr. Mullins. If It Wasn't His Bad Breath, It Was His Attitude I Hated The Most. I Can't Entirely Blame Him Though, I'm Almost Always Late For His Class. But That I Won't Fully Take Responsibility For.

Something Seemed Different About Class That Day. Maybe The Desks Were Switched Around. I Thought About It For Awhile Until I Realized It Was The New Hooded Figure Sat By My Desk. I Took My Seat, Still Trying To Get A Look At What I Assumed Was A Guy- That Didn't Work Out Though Considering His Head Was Down, Most Likely Asleep Even Though Class Barely Started. But Oh Well, I Didn't Have Any Plans On Waking Him Up. I Stuck To My Usual Routine- Take Out My Textbook To Pretend I Was Paying Attention, Proceed In Taking Out My Lyric Book That Plopped On The Useless Collection Of Pages Labeled "10th Grade Algebra" And My iPod. I Sat In The Very Back, So It Was Hard To Get Caught With It. Sticking In My Headphones, I Began To Let The Words Bleed Onto The Pages. I'm Always Hearing People Say That When You Try Writing That Way, You Just End Up Writing What You Hear. But I End Up Writing About The Person's Experiences. Which Isn't A Crime In My Book.

Mr. Mullins Decided To Pay Attention To The Back Row For Once- I Guess There Was A Blue Moon Out Or Something. But When I Saw Him Making His Way Towards My Row, I Hid My Lyrics And iPod- Avoiding Getting In Trouble. Then I Saw That Guy Still Sleeping. I Felt Rude For Waking Him Up, My Mr. Mullins Is Strict About Sleeping In Class. So I Shook Him Awake So He Could Be Wide Awake When The Teacher Came Back Here. He Gave Me An Odd Look But I Made A Head Nod Towards Mr. Mullins And When He Made The "Ohhh Now I Get It" Face I Think He Caught On."Ms. Santos, Care To Explain What We're Learning About?" His Breatth Assaulting My Face. "Linear Equations....?" I Said With Alittle Question In My Voice. He Looked Down At Me Alittle Disappointed With His Failed Attempt To Embarras Me And Walked Away. Hey, Maybe I Am Paying Attention In This Class. Hah, Never.

"Thanks For Waking Me Up." An Unfamilar Voice Croaked. I Turned To My Left And Immediately Fell Into His Deep Brown Eyes- Counting Every Shade Brown I Saw Swirling Around. And Dare I Say, His Sleepy Voice Was Sexy As Fuck.

"It's No Problem. He's Always Trying To Embarras Someone In Front Of The Whole Class And Throws Out Detentions Like Ninja Stars.  I Didn't Think Anyone Deserved That On Their First Day. My Name's Cassandra." I Gave Him A Side Smile. "Vic." He Spoke, Flashing A Pearly White Smile. "So You Just Moved Here?" "Yeah, My Parens Were Tired Of Florida So They Decided To Move Here." "Oh I See." What Else Was I Supposed To Say? Something About This Kid Made Me Want To Kow More. I Tried Coming Up With Reasons To Hang Out With Him And It Came To Me- Take 'Em On A Tour. "Hey Um.. You Just Moved Here And Everything So I Was Wondering If I Could Show You Around The School And Stuff." I Mumbled Without Confidence. He Would Totally Say No. What Would Make Him Say Yes? In The Middle Of My Swirling Conversation With Myself Vic Said,"I'd Love That." And Smiled Once More. Wow, He Actually Said Yes. "Well Alright. I'll Walk You To Your Next Class And Show You To Your Classrooms During Lunch." I Returned A Smile. "Sounds Great." And We Went Back To Whatever We Were Doing Before. There Was Still 20 Minutes Left Of Class So Instead Of Writing I Just Kinda Sat There In My Thoughts. And Alot Of Them Were About Vic To Be Honest. His Tan Skin, White-As-Can-Be Teeth, Long Brown Hair, Everything Appearance Wise. And Then I Thoguht About How Nice He Was To Me. No One Is Ever Nice To Me, And That Made Me Wonder Why This Kid Was Different From Everyone Else. I Guess I'll Find Out After Class..
