Rain, rain, go to Spain. Fair weather come again.
I expected him to shut his trap on the bus. Mr. Park was on the bus, head facing the window, a frown etched upon his lips, along with a few other strangers I could care less about. Taehyung, or Tae, as he corrected me the times I tried to quiet him down, wanted to be everybody's ray of sunshine. Oh, did he succeed. I found out that we got off at the same stop, and lived in the same apartment complex, oh so ironically. I would never hear the end of him, now. I was doomed. But still, we got to know each other very well, debated over a few things, and even did the basic like and dislike trip. I didn't think that only forty minutes after meeting somebody, you could be that close. But as everything has shown me so far, Taehyung proved me wrong. "And rabbits live on the moon. If you think about it, who are we to be so judgemental over who lives on what planet. If I want to live on Neptune, then so be it if I try hard enough!" Tae declared, puffing up his cheeks and pursing his lips into a straight line. By now, I was getting tired. I had blocked out most everything of Taehyung's words. But his actions were different. He had snuggled up to me, wrapped an arm around my shoulders, and stayed like that for the past twenty minutes.
"Tae?" I asked quietly, my eyes beginning to fall closed like curtains. I was still awake though. Just...not paying attention to details. The brunette next to me mumbled a small 'huh?' I felt my head dragging itself down tiredly, only soon swerving itself gently onto a pillow-like surface. "Neptune is made out of gas. You'd die within a mile's distance if it wasn't practically the coldest place in existance." I got to reply before falling asleep...per usual.Tae's POV
I actually didn't talk much to strangers. If I did, I kept it to polite smalltalk. But there was something about the person next to me at the bus stop. Her face was buried in the material of her bookbag, her ears untucked from the beanie she wore, and a baggy black sweater falling nearly off of one shoulder, but not quite. The way she mumbled to herself almost like a crazy person made me hold in a laugh, and that slipped out when she slammed her face back into her bookbag, keeping her eyes shut. That was when I spoke up. Her face was an entirely different thing to talk about. If I wasn't already sitting down, mocking her body language with my bookbag in my lap, I would have been floored. Literally. I had seen her few times around campus, but never close enough. It was the beanie that gave it away. Yes, that's the girl that goes around campus with one ear peeking from her beanie, making her look almost like an elf. How precious.
I could see the entire time, from the bench to the seats of the bus, how she pretended to ignore me. I could still see the corners of her lips turning into tiny smiles every now and then. Soon enough, I felt a thump on my chest, and realized Y/N had nuzzled into my white sweater, much like her own. Then, she was sleeping. It's probably the dumbest thing- I can hear my heart thumping in my chest for a stranger I met not long ago at all. But somehow, we clicked just perfectly, even if it was just a friendship in the making. She had to be sweet under that façade. Y/N had to, and I could tell that from the way she smiled in her sleep, that bright red beanie brushing against my neck as if she couldn't care for anything other than her sleep.
I heard the call for our stop and looked at Y/N. Still sleeping, bookbag in her lap. Careful and quick, trying my best not to wake her, I first put on my own bookbag, picked Y/N up, and held her bookbag on my arm. Leaving the bus with a grin to Mrs. Woo, I stepped out into the sidewalk and headed towards the apartment complex. All I can say about Y/N on the journey home was that even though she was light, her books for psychology--as sure as the universe knows it--were not. Entering the building of apartments, I sat Y/N down on the steps, lightly shaking her to wake her up. Seeing her eyes open, I spoke up. "What apartment do you live in? I can drop you off inside. Your keys are on your wristband." I spoke up. I was replied to in a strange manner, which only made me grin.
"Shh, Taehyungie. I'm sleeping. I just want to sleep in a fluffy bed. With poofy pillows and a comforter that doesn't resemble soaked cardboard." She spoke to me, closing her eyes. Her head lolled forwards once more. What could I do? Fluffy bed, poofy pillows? Picking her up once more and carrying her over to my apartment, 2C, I closed the door and carried her to my bedroom, laying her down in my bed, and covering her up with the comforter.
"Okay, Y/N. You're in my bed right now. Your bookbag will be right next to the nightstand, and I'll be sleeping on the couch. I don't have classes tomorrow, so...I'll be here when you wake up." I murmured, setting down Y/N's bag next to the nightstand and looking to her with a small smile across my lips. I leaned in and took off her beanie, setting it atop her book bag. Then, as if on instinct, looking over to her, I brushed back her hair off of her forehead. I cotemplated for a tiny bit before leaning in and placing a tiny kiss on her forehead before practically sprinting away. Soon after that, I had gotten unwound and lay myself to sleep on the couch as well. Still, I was glad I could see Y/N from my place on the couch. She was just fun to be around...kinda like a magnet.
