(Jaspher's POV)

Dale and I had a long recap of the 2 years that we had been apart. He left me in Vallejo just after the graduation to be an apprentice in a small Architectural Firm. I have no guts like him that time and my mom was grieving of my dad's sudden death , i thought that She needs me more than anything.

Dale said he started as a checker for the delivered construction materials and some encoding of quotations for the projects but now after 2 years of hard word, he is now one of the senior architect of the growing firm.

While he is growing in his chosen field, im pretty much confused if there has been a good thing that happened to me in that 2 year span.

I take care of mom and join her in her grieving but we both know that life goes on and so are we. Dad left us a small amount of money which mom descided to transfer to my bank account and use it only if it is really needed.

I also finished my degree just like Dale but im not that lucky enough to apprentice in any firm. I worked as a freelance interior designer , i got small time projects around and in nearby towns but that didn't take me any further. As the eldest son , i take responsibility of my sister Joanna who was taking up literature, and my little brother Justin in his junior high.

That was one of many reasons why i ended up following Dale's footsteps in hopes of hitting a fortune of a job in this city, as well as following my dream to be a renouned Architect, too high of a dream, well i just needed a decent job for a start. One step at at time Jaspher.

We ended up in a bar just a few block from the apartment complex that Dale had suggested. I'ts already near midnight and im getting tipsy but Dale insist that he's not ready to go home. I knew for sure because his eyes keeps roaming at the body of a petite girl in black glittery dress with blond hair and smokey eyes. The girl keeps grinding his booty on Dale, while they act like they were dancing.

"I'm tipsy, gotta go. Keep grindin' " I shouted on Dale's ears as the music gets louder and louder so does people pile up on the dance floor.

"Go home celebate! Fuck yourself". He replied while laughing . i didn't react , i knew he was joking but it was half true. I like girls, its just that i dont do one night stand like Dale.

As i walk to the elevator, i see a familiar girl that i saw yesterday. I rush before the door closes so i can ride up with her.

We were the only ones in the elevator. Off course who is up in the midnight roaming around right?. There's an awkward silence between us and i can't form a coherent word to break it. I just look at her not hesitating , maybe the alcohol helps.

She has raven black hair, full pink lips, i cant see her eyes because of her bangs but her eyelashes are thick. She wears a black dress that reach her ankles and a black converse. Her pale hands were clutched in her side . she blinks too much and her breathing was deep but hurried. Is she nervous?

"Hi", i finally speak up but the elevator door opened and she rushed outside with her hand on her chest. She is carrying a big black garbage bag in the other hand that i didn't notice earlier, maybe because of the angle i was looking. She is definitely small, didn't even reach my shoulders so i just caught a glimspe of her features.

I went straight to the bathroom because im feeling sick , maybe the elevator ride added up to my current state. As i opened the door and flick the lights, a man in touseled hair and red eyes looks right at me.

My heart picks up in anticipation as i realized that the man looking at me is just my reflection on the mirror. I had never been drunk or even drinking for a while because i thought that it was a waste of money but Dale paid all the drinks so i cant say no.

After the puking and flashing session, im ready to retire at the mattress Dale set up at the corner of the living room, i walk near the front door to turn off the lights but suddenly there was a knock on the door.

Once, twice. But i didn't open. I glance at the clock its already 1:43 am, i thought maybe it was Dale but if it was him, why would he knock? Its his apartment and he has a key. Maybe he misplaced it so when the third knock comes, i peak at door but i just say the darkness of the hallway, when i'm ready to close it, a girl speaks up.

"Ummm, i just assumed you were awake since we were at the same elevator a while ago,"the last person i cant think of knocks on the door, miss white lady.
