Part 20

In the treehouse there is one room in the room there is , blankets our new clothes a mirror a table and 6 cushions to sit on. By the clothes there is a note that reads: These are your new clothes put them on and then place your old clothes on the table. - Harvey (your fighting instructor)

I swiftly grab the the clothes most likely to fit me, standing awkwardly I realise I have nowhere to get changed the other two have also realised and are tapping the floorboards with their feet.

"Let's put the blankets up along the walls and make temporary changing rooms!" The other girl, supposedly Lana suggests

"Yeah" we agree and begin draping the blankets on any nooks we can find in the ceiling. The other boy climbs in with his eyes squeezed shut and doesn't seem to notice he is at the top.

"Hey" the boy shouts and the one on the ladder opens one eye and sighs in what sounds like relief.

The blankets are now in the shape of a changing room and we take turns getting changed in them. When it is my turn I clutch my clothes and step in closing the curtain behind me. Stripping myself of my amity clothes I pull the creamy coloured crop top over my head and look at the denim shorts that have been given to me , I notice that they are not completely cream coloured and they fade into beige denim at the top. Shrugging them on I look around for shoes, there are none, "Hey can you pass me my shoes I didn't bring them in?" I yell as a pair of worn beige trainers roll under the curtains. I slip them on and get out of the so called changing room.

The night sky is dark and the only light we have is the stars and moon, we have not eaten anything since coming here and have all been starving for the past 3 hours. Me , Lara , will and Osama are sitting in a circle talking about where we came from. Will is talking about how he used to be in abnegation and since then moved to candor. I feel drowsy so get up and say that I am going to sleep before inventing a makeshift bed from the blankets and pillows.
