A Normal Teenager

I woke up in the morning,

Hearing the sound of the birds singing.

I stood there in front of the mirror,

Seeing someone with a look of terror.

I fixed my bed, I fixed my hair,

I put some powder on to look fair.

After changing into my casual clothes,

I went downstairs and took out some loaves.

This is my daily routine,

If you're like this, we're on the same team.

I guess you can say I'm boring,

But, deal with it. It's my thing.

I am a just normal teenager,

Who, like you, is a dreamer.

I dream to be a superstar,

But, sometimes, I think it's too far.

I love to sing, dance and act,

But, confidence is what I lack.

I perform in the bathroom every now and then.

But, I can barely show others my talent.

I post pictures of my celebrity crushes,

I imagine things with them and blush.

I'm not popular or really pretty.

But, accept me as I am, and love me.

I don't tell my parents everything,

They might not understand my thinking.

I love to pretend I'm cool,

Even if I look like a fool.

I have diary I keep to myself,

Words, emotions and letters are it's wealth.

I have a guitar, a book and a phone,

They are always there, when I'm alone.

I am a normal teenager,

Who wants to be with (name of your celeb crush) forever.

I like him because of his talent, voice and face

He always makes my heart race.

I have hair I seldom comb,

Like in movies, when actresses are alone.

I lose my appetite when I'm sad,

I don't eat. Even when I know it's bad.

I am a simple girl who wants to be free and loved,

Loved for my mistakes, and free as a dove.

I want to express myself, but, scared.

Scared of being judged and compared.

I am a normal teenager, this is my story.

I'm filled with doubts, happiness, sadness and worry.

Accept me for me,

For I will be famous, wait and see.
