Chapter Seven- The Curses to Tell

You woke up, shivering. Tugging the blankets higher, you squeezed your eyes tight. But the sunlight still blinded you.

"Urge." Stumbling out of bed, you headed towards the bathroom. The moment you looked at yourself in the mirror, your eyes widened.

In the middle of your chest, you could see tiny dark vines on your skin. It was almost like a tattoo. Taking off your shirt, you closely inspected it.

In the dusty frame, was two girls. You...and another. This girl had bright and cherry eyes that sparkled whenever she was excited- and stormed whenever she was angry. She had beautiful blond hair that rested to her shoulders.

The two girls were eating ice cream with their arms slung around each other. The girl with the blond hair was laughing at her friend.

You gently placed the photograph down, with a smile. Happily continuing your day, you ignored the picture.

The moment you knocked on his door, he opened. It was as if he had just been waiting for you to knock.

He simply stared.

As you entered his small apartment, he closed the door behind you. "Where's your partner?" You asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Happy? He's out."
