Bad Henchman

I woke and found myself tied in a tight rope. I hear a familiar wailing to my right. It was Amber. We were both tied to a rope, at the leg of Mr. and Mrs.Beemer's leather love seat couch.

"Why are you crying?"

"AAAAHAHAHAW!" she was a very loud crier.

"Him," Amber pointed at the man with the ski ball ruffeling through stuff in a desk "He is why I am crying." Every problem Amber has I have to fix it, it's probably because she is weaker than I am, even if I am a girly-girl.

"What did he do?"

"That loser killed my parents," said Amber sniffing "And he did it right in front of me!"

"Why?" I said looking at the stranger. "What makes you think you could you just waltz into someone's house and kill 2 people while 2 kids are still alive tied to a rope?" I said looking at the left side of his face.

"I didn't know she was here," his voice was low and mysterious "And I also didn't know she was alive."

"Then why didn't you kill Amber, too?" I questioned. I look at Amber and she stares at me like I'm stupid for asking that.

"Because I wasn't after her." His voice seemed to get more tense after every question.

"So you were after her parents?" I said curiously.

"What are you writing a book?" He said angrily.

"Jeez. You wouldn't last a minute on a trivia show." I said trying to be funny.

I look to my left and on the floor I spot an earing. Mrs. Beemer must have been putting on her favorite earrings, she wore those earrings on her wedding. I turn to Amber to see her looking down.

"Amber?" I call. She looked at me startled. Her makeup was all messy from her tears the mascara running down her pale face.

"Yeah?" She says.

"Where were your parents headed?"

"To my Great Uncle's funeral, I wasn't going because funerals are super boring."

Then out of the blue the man spoke, "Yeah well isn't that a surprise."

"What did you come here for?" I asked wondering aloud.

"You have no business to know." He paused. He knew he was going to lose.

"You killed two people, of which were my best friend's parent's, so I think I do!" I protested.

He pulls down his mask. "O.K. I'll tell you," he replies thinking "Only if you do me a favor." He said turning our way. When he says that I feel the hairs on my neck prick up, because when a bad guy asks you to do them a favor for them, it's never good.

"What kind of favor?" I asked with one eyebrow raised. I looked over at Amber seeing she has the same facial expression as me.

"You have to, uh, get me something," he said unsure "Yeah, that's it, you have to get me something." He repeated.

"You're goinng to have to be more specific." I declared.

"Your parents," he said glaring at Amber, "They were poor gamblers, but they did it anyway. They owed me over $3 million, but we exchanged a deal.  They give me 2 million and some poker chips. But even after a year of waiting, I finally found where they live and went to get my money." Every sentence he would look up. After a while I looked up, and saw only ceiling.

"Why do you keep looking up?" I said staring at his attention grabber.

"No reason." The rope loosened. I look at Amber, who was looking at the rope. While I was hosting a Questionnare, she was working our way to freedom.

"Alright, so what you're saying is you want us to steal their money?" I said ready to dash to the door at any minute.

"No, I'm saying I want you to find their bank account number." He said like it was already obvious.

"And we would help you why?" I said as if I didn't alrady know.

"Then you will end up like this girl's folks." He exclaimed looking at Amber, who was fast asleep now. Then everything else went quiet. Like someone turned the volume down on life. And as fast as Amber fell asleep, I did too.

The next morning slowly came by. Amber and I were still tied to the rope, though it was looser now.     Well looser than before. The man came in without his mask on he didn't really see this one coming. I was staring at him to see if I recognized him, I didn't. I looked deep into his icey blue eyes. It was then that I realized that he wasn't looking at me. I followed to his eyes to find him staring at Amber, who looked like she needed to say something.

"I know you." She said, but she didn't sound too confident.

"Uh, no you don't." he said trying to find something to hide his face. He picked up a book and all that you could see now was a large book and the rest of the man's body from the tip of the neck down.

"Yeah, I kinda do." Amber always has to be right or she will flip out so bad. And that's when it hit like a brick from 100 feet above me.

"Well, Amber if he says you don't know him, you probably don't know him." I said with a high tone.

"I know that I know him!" Her voice was tense.

"Ok fine whatever you say." I said smiling. Then she blew up like a series of bombs together. She entirely lifted both of us and stood completely erect, and just ripped the rope apart. The man Amber supposedly knew was standing there staring in amusement. She walked up to him threw the book on the floor and said, " Tell me your name, I bet I know it, I bet if you told me I would scream, 'I NEW IT!', right, you know I'm right!" She said eyeing me. I was standing there happy the rope was finally off. Then he looked at me with an evil look in his eye. His icy blue eyes pouring into me. I could see deep into his eyes, I knew he was about to say something, and i knew it wasn't going to be good.

"I will tell you" he said.

"Uh, yeah you will!"

"IF," he said loudly, " you go to the bank right now and withdraw 3 million dollars from your parents account."

"But I thought it was only 2 million and some chips!" Amber exclaimed.

"Yeah well you waited too long!"

" Wait," Amber said, "I just realized something, if all you wanted was to get into my parents account, then why did you kill them, when you simply could have asked them politely?" She asked making a point.

"Well!" He said high pitched and his eyes rolling to the right.

"Well? There is no well to it!" She shouted.

"Alright, confession time. Your parents aren't dead." He said like it was no big deal. I sat on the couch trying to see if I could recognize him too. For some weird reason, he looked a little cute. But I cannot think that! He just had me and Amber tied to a rope all night. And what's even weirder, is that he looks our age. But he can't because he said he is a gambler. Or maybe he goes to the secret casino's!

"What? My parent's aren't dead?" She looks around the room grinning. "Where are they?" She asked smiling like a retarded dog.

"I will tell you after I get my money." He said pleased with himself. I shuffle towards Amber and whisper in her ear.

"Don't do it. We can always search the place after." I said trying to reason with her.

"Please. I need this money. My mother is dying from Cancer. We are a poor family, and my mother needs help. I don't want her to die. She's all I have." He explained sincerely. I had no real reason to believe him, but he seemed to be telling the truth.

"But we can't just take their money." I said. I looked at Amber. She glared at him.

"Don't think of it like taking, think of it as donating.
