BeastBoy had always found rain fascinating, almost as fascinating as Raven.

The violet-haired teen had always been a mystery to him, waiting to be solved. The way the raindrops fell reminded him of how fluent Raven looked when she was fighting. The sound they made got him thinking of Raven's soft but steady voice while she was meditating and how it changed to a sharp yell in combat.

The transparency of the raindrops was the same as Raven's eyes. To everyone else, those eyes were plain and expressionless. But to BeastBoy,they were the only way one could truly decode Raven's emotions.

Sometimes one could see the slightest of happiness and joy while other times one could see the flickering flames of sorrow and despair....

How he longed to reach out to her and help her, to let her know that she didn't have to face everything alone.

He would always be by her side even if she, herself couldn't see it. The rain may be captivating but it will never be as beautiful and mesmerizing as Raven.

"BeastBoy?"

The sound of Raven's voice woke him from his hypnotic trance. He didn't realise he had been standing in the rain for the past half hour. He was drenched from head to toe but he didn't mind. He would gladly get soaked everyday just to get a chance to see Raven smile at his goofiness.

Even if it wasn't present on her face.

"Get your butt out of the rain BeastBoy", called out the empath.

Unknown to BeastBoy, Raven had also spent the past half hour thinking. Her heart and mind were at war with each other, her heart was screaming, asking her to tell beastboy she loved him, but her mind was trying to persuade her to not do so.

There were the thoughts of what her powers could do to BeastBoy if she let them and how BeastBoy might respond.

He might return her love back and he might just snap her heart in two like Malchior did. She was not at peace and meditation was not helping her in anyway.

She had no other option but to just stare at the changeling in front of her, she never actually noticed how ruffled and soft BeastBoy's hair looked. What would happen if she just reached out and touched it?

"No,Raven. Control yourself", she said quietly.

And how fluent and aerodynamic his body looked now that she thought about it, it still shocked her how this goofy kid could turn into majestic and strong animals.

She was unsure how, but slowly she drifted into a short and wonderful dream.

The green grass tickled her feet, the wind was whispering verses of love and the sun's rays were shining down on her.

This was the first time in her life she allowed herself to be truly happy, to laugh and smile as she pleased. Laughter escaped as a mere giggle and she felt a pair of strong arms wrap her in warmth and love.

She turned around and saw none other than BeastBoy smiling down at her. She gladly accepted his hug and the pair fell down on the soft and peaceful grass.

The dream, it was exactly what she wished to turn into reality, his heat enveloping her and she nestled in his grasp.

But alas, all dreams must come to an end.

And soon, she awoke from her sweet dream, so happy she allowed herself to smile.

BeastBoy was still standing in the rain, his small physique drenched but yet so happy. She composed herself before calling out to him.

He could clearly see the twinkling sparks of happiness in her eyes,just like a little girl on Christmas morning. He walked on over to her and briefly explained to her why he was standing in the rain, restraining himself from getting lost in her mesmerizing violet eyes.

No one else could tell, no, not even them, that in that brief moment of time, the both of them had clearly expressed their love for each other, with Raven's twinkling happiness and BeastBoy's rapidly thumping heart.

If their lips were to lock, sparks would fly so far as to the North Pole.
