The Librarians

Chapter 4

Ezekiel's POV
I woke up lying on a bed. But this time Jake, Cassandra, Flynn and Eve were standing around the bed. "How did we get here?" I ask.

"You were asleep and Edward and some guys dragged us to this room. And--" Jake choked on his words.

"What?"

"He raped you while you were out and we couldn't do a thing to help." Cassie said.

"Oh." Well that explains a lot. I sit up and turn away from them tears burning the back of my eyes. I see anger flash behind Jake's eyes. I curl into a ball and just lay there until I fall back asleep.

Jake's POV
I watch Ezekiel's chest rise and fall. His face looks like he was happy. But I knew that it was just because he was asleep. I swear I am going to kill Edward. I'll kill him and feed his remains to the lions in the zoo. He's gonna pay.

Ezekiel doesn't even smile anymore. He barely talks. I feel so fucking mad right now that I punch the wall so hard my fist went right through it. The loud noise that followed made Ezekiel jump out of the bed and cower in the corner. He was shaking and his eyes were full of fear.

"I'm sorry Ezekiel. I, uh...just punched the wall." I explain. He didn't move. He just stood there, his back pressed against the wall, staring at me. It was like he was rooted to the spot. He slid down the wall until he was sitting on the floor and buried his face in his arms, crying. I look at Flynn and the others and they look back giving me a look saying that it was my fault so I had to deal with it.

I walk over to Ezekiel and sit next to him, wrapping my arm around him. He tensed and then relaxed in my arms. He sighed and rested his head on my shoulder. "I'm not letting him touch you again." I whispered.

Flynn's POV
We need to find a way out of here. I don't think Ezekiel will last any longer in here. The door opened and Edward walked in. I glance at Eve. She has that protective look in her eyes and her stance is hostile.

"Chill. I'm not going to hurt your precious Ezekiel. I'm just going to ask him a question." Edward says. Ezekiel cowers and shrinks farther into Jake's arms. Jake tightens his grip around him and glares up at Edward. He kneeled in front of Ezekiel and reached out to brush his hair out of his face. "I need Thors hammer and Loki's spear. And I know you know where they are."

Ezekiel stared at him. And then his face twisted into a sneer, but it was forced. "Fuck you." He spat in his face. Edward wiped his face and grabbed Ezekiel by his hair and dragged him to his feet. Ezekiel yelled in pain and Stone is on his feet, about to pounce on Edward but Eve beat him to it. She launched herself at Edward and knocked him to the ground. He let go of Ezekiel and Eve tried to strangle him. Edward knocked her off and jumped to his feet, pulling a gun and aimed it at Ezekiel's chest. Everyone froze.

"Any of you move and I will shoot him." Edward said. No one moved.

"You won't shoot him. You need him." I say. "He's the only one who knows where Thors hammer and Loki's spear is."

"Maybe not." Edward said. Jake was staring at the gun. He glanced at me and I shook my head slightly. Don't do it, Stone. Don't do it. He lunged for the gun startling Edward and he fired the gun. Ezekiel yelped and he clutched his stomach as blood began to seep through his fingers. He looked up at me and he fell to the ground.

"Ezekiel!" Eve yelled.
