Started Out As Neighbors Ch. 6

*December 20, 2003*

My last fall semester of college was done. Thank God.  The guys were celebrating their album release which by the sound of some of the songs was gonna great.  One of my favorite songs off that album was definitely Second Heartbeat.  It was fast and full of energy, not to mention I liked the lyrics (even if they were screamed).

Christmas was soon here which meant vacation to Louisiana! We go home to see family for every major holiday and even Mardi Gras because it's just that amazing.  I even brought the guys last year for their first experience at Mardi Gras.  And for you guys that don't know I came from a Cajun town not New Orleans so our Mardi Gras is more traditional than what everyone perceives it to be.  And what that means is that you get dressed in a traditional Mardi Gras costume, get drunk, get covered head to toe in mud, and chase a chicken. 

But Christmas was going to be different this year for sure.  One, well it's no shocker really, Zack was coming with us because his parents were going somewhere for Christmas and two, Jeremy was going to be proposing to his girlfriend! I'm so excited to have another sister, even if she's not blood.

We were staying in Louisiana for two weeks.  I started to pack when all of a sudden I see Zina and Matt, Zack's siblings, walking up to the house from the backyard.  Does anyone ever use the front door at our house?

I ran downstairs and opened the back door and flung myself at the two.  I hadn't seen them in so long since they both moved away.  I gave them the biggest hug I could.

"Oh my god Cami you've grown up so much! Come here let me see you!" Zina.  She was Zack's sister and was always like a sister to me.  I would go to her when I would have boy problems and she came with me to get my first tat.  

"Yeah Camille you've surely grown up *wink wink*." Matt. I punched him in the arm.  Boys. 

"Oh my god what are you guys doing here?!  I mean we're leaving in a few days to go on vacation.  Zack said that you two were going with your parents and all that." 

"Oh we are, but we had to tell Zack something before we left cause he would have been pissed if he didn't find it out from us." Zina.  

"Oh oh tell me!!" I gave them both the puppy dog eyes which they could never resist with my big doe eyes.

"Haha, well I'm pregnant!" Oh my god Zina's pregnant!! AHH! I'm so excited!!

"And I'm getting married." Matt's getting hitched?! This day keeps getting better and better. I'm so happy for the both of them.  I looked at the clock on the wall and realized that I had to finish packing or else we wouldn't make it to the airport on time.

"Well I'm so happy for both of you.  And I'm sorry to do this, but you guys need to leave so I can finish packing for the trip.  Let me know of everything that is going on with you two!"  I watched them walk back next door and then rushed back upstairs to finish my packing.

We got to the airport about an hour later and were now waiting for our flight.  It was a semi-long flight but no matter if it was short or long, I was scared shitless to fly.  After 9/11 I was terrified to fly.
