Chapter 1
"Get up Logan! Don't want to be late for your first day do you?" Mom screamed from downstairs.
"Yeah yeah I'm up!" I groaned in reply. Apparently I'm supposed to be excited that I moved a week ago and now am starting my junior year in some high school in some random town in Oregon. I quickly got up,took a shower, and ran downstairs to eat breakfast. "Logan I swear I think I should wake you up earlier so you can have a healthy, balanced meal..." she rambled on about how important it is to have a good breakfast, but I pretended I was listening by nodding my head when needed. "I'll keep that in mind mom". I heard the bus stopping at the bus stop outside. "But right now I gotta go." I grabbed a bagel, pecked my mom on the cheek and ran outside before my mom could say anything. Ever since my parents divorced, Mom seemed more on my case about everyhing. Can I please get a hair cut? Did I remember to do my homework? Who was I hanging out with? I lived in Michigan before I moved to Harsch, Oregon . I guess Mom wanted to start a new life and so the result was moving 200 miles and landing in Oregon. The bus door opened and I stepped in. The bus driver smiled at me and motioned for me to sit down. Inside the bus it was the usual scene. Crumpled paper flying everywhere, people (both boys and girls) cursing basically every bad word in the book, and a couple making out in the corner. Yup,this was definetly just like every other high school bus in the world. At least that was comforting. As I sat down, I saw a couple of girls stare at me. Not to brag but with my long (I grew it out), skater, brown hair, hazel brown eyes, and cheekbones, I was considered good-looking. Back in Michigan, at every cheesy dance we would have at school, girls would ask me out but I always turned them down because they were all the same. Too much make-up and they reeked of desperation and definetly an overdose of cheap perfume. I wanted a girl who was about something. Maybe someone who liked poetry (yes i like poetry, just because im a guy doesnt mean I'm not human) or a girl who thought Pierce the Veil was cool. When we arrived at school, I took a good look at the building in front of me. It was an ugly, red, brick building with ivy growing in between bricks. That's a first good impression. I took a deep breath and opened the door inside.
