Bewitched

The first Meeting

"Go away Dave", she said strangely calm.

"Oh yeah? And who's gonna make me?" Dave replied with a smirk.

"I SAID go away", she said again, this time intently staring into his eyes. He suddenly had a confused look on his face and I heard him mumble something as he left.

"Thanks Saph!", Nancy said, obviously relieved. "I swear I don't know why I ever put up with him, anyway this is the newbie in town!"

The girl, apparently Saph, looked at me with recognition but that look quickly disappeared. She sat down and said, "I'm Sapphire". I replied and told her my name and she nodded.

"Sooooo, now that everyone knows each other, can we continue eating our pathetic excuse of food?", Jack said with his eyebrow raised. We all laughed and said yes. While Jack was telling everyone something that happened to him on the weekend, I took that moment to take a good look at Sapphire. She had long jet-black hair with snowy white skin and rose colored lips. Her eyes were a fierce green which was almost mesmerizing to look at. And lets not forget the intoxicating peppermint chocolate smell. She was beautiful, but in a way that was almost scary. The way she handled that jerk Dave was confusing. In fact, why was I the only one confused how she managed to get Dave away?

"And that's why you should never let your Dad give you love advice", Jack finished with a sigh.

"Eh she wasn't all that great anyway, you'll find your girl", Pony said slapping Jack on the back.

"So anyway," Nancy turned to me, "we're having a bonfire tonight, deep in the woods, you know telling cool stories and all so you should come, it's really fun!"

"Oh um thanks I might check it out", I replied. When hearing this, Sapphire stiffened. The bell rang all of a sudden.

"We'll all get to know you better!", Nancy said, "And it's been nice meeting you but we should get to class"

"So I guess I'll see you all tonight then?" I said.

"Yup!" They all replied back except Sapphire, who seemed annoyed.

Well that's great, the one girl I have a weird interest in seems like she doesn't like me. Tonight should be interesting.
