Chapter 2

A December to remember

We're here in the train station waiting for my ride

"Just be careful Krissy OK? Text me... No! Call me if you're already there"

John said really worried

John and Isaac joined me here in train station before I leave

"I will be fine john, I am already 19 y.o"

I told him assuringly

"Your brother is such a worried baby. But he has a point, be careful Krissy. Just tell us if you are there"

It was Isaac now who said that

"And Isaac, please look after my brother. Don't let him kill himself working"

I said to lighten the mood

"Mum!"

I immediately drop my things and span to hug her

"I thought you would never come!"

"Sorry Krissy. It took me a while to finish my paper works"

"Its OK mum, you're here now"

"Sorry to say this Kris but your father...."

"I know. He couldn't make it"

Just after I said that, we heard the train's engine starting

"Bye mum, bye guys!"

As I was entering the train's door, john shouted

"Bye Kris! Tell our hi to grandma!"

"I will!"

... ... ...

I sat in the window side. The chairs are good for two people

"I'm so excited!"

"Yeah me too hon"

Before I began to fall asleep, I heard a voice of couple in front of my chair's position. My eyes were closed and I didn't bother to look at them

I think they were already in their mid 50's

I think I slept for almost one hour. As I woke up, I realized that there's a guy sitting with me beside me. I observe his him, I think he's in mid 20's like me. Soldier cut, so mature and serious... That's how I describe him

He sleeps so deep I say, because we just arrived at the greenfield station so someone announced it but he's still sleeping deep

I shook him to wake him up but still, pointless

"Sir! We're here!"

I can't get out in our seats coz he's legs are on the way

The seats are narrow enough for long legs to block the way out

....

"What?"

Finally

"We're already here sir"

"Sorry 'bout that"

"Its OK"

With that, he immediately grabbed his thing and started to go out in the train. I am walking behind him

I sat at one of the station's bench. Aunt Lorie called me earlier and told me that my cousin, Lucas will fetch me and I guess I need to wait here for few minutes. By the way, aunt Lorie is my mother's younger sister

This train station was just built just beside the ship yard so Its a bit noisy.

As I was drinking my soda I noticed a guy taking a picture of the place...... He's the guy from earlier

While taking a picture of the surroundings, he accidentally noticed me and quickly smiled

"Hi!"

"Uhmmm, hi!" I replied..... Awkward

"I want to say sorry again about earlier"

"No problem........" I don't know what to call him. I don't know his name yes

"Daniel! ... Call me Daniel"

"Nice.... My name is Krissy"

"Nice to meet you Krissy. I you're waiting for someone?"

"Yup! He will fetch me when he got here"

"Your boyfriend?"

"NO! He's my cousin. I'm still not ready for any relationships yet"

"Impressive. Let me guess, you're a business woman aren't you?"

"Yes! ...... But, I mean not yet"

"Well, just have courage and the best thing you need to have is the passion for it"

I don't like it if someone is telling me what to do or .. Lecturing me

But, I don't know I didn't get angry at all when he said those things to me. I don't know but I can't angry at him

"Thanks! May I ask a question?"

"Sure"

"What is your work?"

"Actually I am a broker"

"Custom!"

But I thought he's a photographer

"Yup!"

Maybe he's working in the shipyard beside this station

Then a few seconds later, my cousin has arrived.

"Thanks for accompany daniel... Daniel, can I ask a favor?"

"Sure why not"

"Would you mind to tour me here maybe next week? Don't worry that'll be my treat"

"Uhmmmm sure.... Here's my number" to be honest, I don't know why I asked him.... I can go ask Lucas instead of him ( a stranger)

He gave his number before I walk to Lucas

But I don't know why I like being accompany by this guy

Girlfriend? If he already has a girlfriend then I will tell her that I am only a friend

"Who's that?"

Lucas asked me as he start driving the car

I'm so intimidated by that guy. I don't know exactly why

"A new friend"

Greenfield have its repution as one of the most friendly cities in the world.. It means that the citizens living here are kind

I'm looking forward r December. I hope grandma will get well soon and also, I want to know greenfield more. It looks amazing and friendly
